Few things to tick off my to do list before I get back to finishing the drift car but the fact that it works is enough for me at the minute 😀,

Probably won't get back out this year but if all goes to plan next year should be a good one 💪

What a belter of a weekend at Driftland Old Skool Weekenders , it wasn't the normal weekend with me having to fix and change things almost all weekend, but it was to be expected after building a car from chassis to a usable drift car in less than 6 weeks using old parts that have been kicked around for 2 and a half years,

Few tweeks to be made now to get it handling how I want it, tidy a few things up and then a coat of paint and some stickers and she will be back to her former glory,

thankyou to Stuart McLellan and michael Henderson for putting on the event and all the crew and marshals and a massive thankyou to everyone that helped make sure I got there, I'm buzzing to have this car back in one piece and look forward to getting back out there 💪

I've been a bit quiet on here the last 2 weeks for 2 reasons, 1 I've just been bloody busy and 2 I didn't think I was going to make it,

A few late nights and 1 including the lads all jumping on and then an all nighter for me last had it Ready to go on the trailer at 3 30 am,, got here at Scotland just past 8am and I've been fixing issue after issue all day until now, 10 mins from the end I managed to do some drifting 😆

Tomorrow hopefully we have no more issues and I can enjoy the day 🙏

Huge amount of progress made today 💪

Lowes Fibreglass & Bodykit Repairs overfenders fitted ✅️

Bonnet vents cut in ✅️

Prop donut fitted and prop mated to the gearbox ✅️

Engine secured in and wiring organised and ready to plug in the DGMaps ecu ✅️

Inner arches trimmed to allow for the extra wide stance and extra lock ✅️

Front panel bolted on ready for rebuilding the front end and radiator etc ✅️

This time in 2 weeks I should be done and in Scotland ready for Driftland Old Skool Weekenders 😅😅 the clock is ticking and fast

She's got a heart again but not beating yet, fitted the Hopwood Motorsport twin plate clutch we had with the turbo engine and checked and changed a few bits, all going well so far

luckily I checked the disa as it had failed bad and was about to drop the pin of death into the valves 🫣

Need to get my finger out this week if I'm going to make this happen,

Managed to get her back on the ground today but about 10 days behind my planned schedule ,

This week it needs engine in and running, dashboard and seat fitted, front panel, lights, bashbars and bodykit all needs fitting 🫣

2 weeks and 5 days until I set off 🤯🤯

Good progress this week 💪

👍Cars flipped back over and rear running gear is bolted up and done
👍Front coilovers and hub adapters rebuilt and fitted
👍Engine bay painted

Just waiting on a few more bits now and it'll be back on the ground and engine fitted ready to start on the inside 😀

3 weeks and 3 days until I set off 💪

Bad start today 🤦🏻‍♂️

Fitted the rear subframe bushes and mounted it in the car all was well ..... fitted the diff and noticed that somehow I've managed to acquire a subframe from a 330d which is slightly bigger and my diff didn't fit.

So a quick phone call to the Catch My Drift? Lads and an hour drive I was back with a subframe that fits but it's Rusty and standard bushes 🤢🤢🤢 it pained me to fit it after everything else is so nice and clean but with a deadline so tight it had to be done

4 weeks exactly until I set off to Driftland Old Skool Weekenders 😬😬

Nearly ready to start the rebuild , just waiting on a few bits back for my coilovers, all the collars are being anodised and the bottom cups that always bend are being modified to be stronger,

Also had a late night message from the legend himself matt from Lowes Fibreglass & Bodykit Repairs to tell me he's nearly done with my kit too 😀

Engine work has been started 👌

The engine seems to be in very good condition if we ignore the mouse nest that was under the plastic engine covers 🐁 🤣🤣🤣
