- "Dazed and Confused," which was originally written and recorded by Jake Holmes.
- "Whole Lotta Love," which borrowed lyrics and elements from Willie Dixon's blues.
- Songs influenced by Bert Jansch's folk guitar work, such as "Black Mountain Side" resembling Jansch's "Blackwaterside."

Led Zeppelin often settled some of these disputes out of court by paying royalties or giving songwriting credits later. Despite controversies, both Page and Plant admitted to drawing inspiration and sometimes directly taking riffs or lyrics from older works but argued they adapted or transformed these creatively.

Though accused repeatedly of plagiarism, Page’s role in reshaping and popularizing these works in rock music is undeniable. Cases like the "Stairway to Heaven" lawsuit were eventually resolved with Led Zeppelin cleared in court after claims that the chord progression was common and not uniquely theirs.
