A brilliant performance from the boys this evening as we played our first round of the SERYFA Cup under the lights. 🌙⚽

We had three players making their debuts for us tonight — welcome to the team, Nico, Harris and Carter! 👏

The boys took a few minutes to settle into the game and find their rhythm, but once we got our first goal, we took control. We continued to press forward, create chances and went into half time 3-0 ahead.

We started the second half on the front foot and kept the pressure on. Some really good football, plenty of chances and another five goals saw us finish the game with an 8-0 victory.

Most importantly, we're through to the next round! 💪

Now it's on to the first round of the Scottish Cup next week. 🏆

After making an instant impact in his trial at Livingston FC our start striker Nathan Odine has been offered & signed his 1st academy contract. Our club officials, coaches, parents & his team mates could not be prouder of the big striker 🫶🏻

He leaves behind a legacy of leadership, larger than life character and of course…goals goals goals! We all have zero doubt he’ll go on to have a super career in the game and wish him & his family nothing but the best 💛🖤

Nathan…you are always welcome to come support our boys and I’m sure we will do the same 🤝

Hillfield Swifts 2

A trip to Inverkeithing this morning to face the Swifts at a sunny Ballast Park.

Not the result we wanted, but an absolutely monumental effort from all the boys today, especially having only one substitute available.

The first half saw us create plenty of chances and move the ball really well, but unfortunately we couldn't find the finish. The boys also adapted brilliantly to playing with three at the back due to players missing.

We continued to play on the front foot in the second half and finally got the goal our play deserved. Unfortunately, fatigue started to take its toll towards the end with such a small squad, and the Swifts managed to grab the winner.

Despite the result, we couldn't be any prouder of the boys. Every single one of them gave absolutely everything today, and we couldn't have asked for any more.

Our back three were outstanding throughout the game. Ryan, in particular, was exceptional on the right-hand side, playing through injury, chasing everything and constantly going the extra mile for his team.

A huge effort from every single player today. 🤍

A tough game for the boys this evening against a very strong Merchiston side.

We were excellent in the first half, taking the lead through a spectacular goal from Ryan and looking dangerous going forward. We had chances to extend our lead but unfortunately couldn't find that second goal.

We started the second half strongly and continued to compete well, but in the final 10 minutes we fell out of the game. Merchiston took full advantage, scoring twice to turn the game around and take the win.

There are lots of positives to take from tonight. We win as a team and we lose as a team. We'll learn from the game, regroup at training tomorrow and go again on Sunday.
