Waterloo Women are one of the longest-established teams in the rugby union world. We were formed in 1989 by Gill Burns MBE & friends and have been graced by Internationals of many nations pulling on the scarlet & myrtle shirt. The day the Women’s Rugby World Cup came to Firwood Waterloo! 🏆A little throwback to February…
As an emerging and developing women’s team, we were honoured to be part of such a special day. Spending time with Gill Burns and so many other inspiring women in rugby was a real highlight!
We’re proud to be part of a sport that continues to grow and create more opportunities for women and girls. Here’s to what’s next! 🏉💚

Yesterday, some of our ladies and the mixed touch rugby team participated in the St Edward’s Old Boys charity touch 7s! 16 teams and 150 players all getting together to raise money for Marie Curie UK and anthonydaviesbereavement ☀️
“ It was a lovely day to play for charity with lots of money raised and a great atmosphere ! We hope to return again next year. ” - Kendra Langton ( FW women’s player )

☀️ Update ☀️ We will be training at Litherland Sports Park for the rest of the summer. Our sessions are on Tuesdays with a 18:45 meet, running from 19:00-20:15 and mixed touch straight after!

A sunny training session down at Litherland tonight. The season may be over but we keep going! 🏉
If you’re wanting to keep up some exercise over the summer we will be training every Tuesday. It’s a great way to get into rugby if you’ve never played! If you’re looking for a team to join… come on down! ❤️

What an amazing morning of girls' rugby at the club on Sunday morning, thank you to the LSH and Hoppers girls that joined us. An amazing job from Laura and Logan from the Sale Sharks Foundation who ran the session.
We have so many great pictures that there will be two follow-up posts to come!
