You cut carbs completely to lose weight with PCOS and the scale still is not moving. Here is why.

Cutting carbs completely often backfires with PCOS, it slows things down rather than speeding them up. Here is what I actually eat in a day instead.

Breakfast is Soy yoghurt, berries, pineapple, bran flake, cinnamon, nut butter. Lunch is creamy chicken pasta. Anti inflammatory smoothie mid afternoon. Dinner mince, sweet potato, mushrooms and spinach.

Simple, balanced and it keeps my blood sugar steady all day. No crash at 3pm, no crazy cravings by 9pm.

Carbs are not the problem with PCOS, the balance around them is. Protein and fibre alongside your carbs is what keeps everything steady.

Hotter outside and somehow MORE bloated 😅

Most women think they are doing something wrong.

You are probably not.

Summer changes how your body regulates temperature, hydration, movement, appetite and even your hormones.

This results in more bloating even if you are eating exactly the same.

From Slimming World at 13, a PCOS diagnosis, and years of every diet going... to finally feeling free.

Faith came to me stuck in a cycle she had been living since she was a teenager. Every diet going. Restrictive plans. Personal trainers. Always ending up back at square one.

Dubai vs Bali. Same girl with a completely different mindset.

In Dubai I had restricted myself to the absolute limit to look “perfect” on that holiday. I was lean. I was tiny. And the night before I flew I was on the phone to my mum and David in tears saying I had no b***s and felt the most masculine I had ever felt in my life.

I got there and got food poisoning. My body had nothing left to fight back with. I came home exhausted, weak, and smaller than I had ever been. My strength was gone. My confidence was gone.

And I had nothing to show for all that restriction except how awful I felt.

So when I got home I made a decision. Never again.

I started fuelling properly. Lifting to feel strong. Eating enough to actually perform. No obsession. No punishment. Just consistency and balance.

Bali was the result of that shift.

I was heavier. I had more muscle. I took up more space. And I felt absolutely incredible. I ate what I wanted. I enjoyed every single moment. I didn’t cry before I got on that plane.

I came home feeling like myself.

If you are punishing your body right now to feel worthy of a holiday, a photo, a moment, please hear this. You deserve to enjoy your life now. Not when you hit a number. Not when you look a certain way. Now.
