Lisburn Distillery Football Club

Lisburn Distillery manager Lee Forsythe has added striker Victor Ihemeje to the squad.

Victor joins from Banbridge Town and played in our 4-2 win over Town at Crystal Park last season, whilst on the losing side he still impressed with his hold up play.

Our new signing took part in the pre-game warm up yesterday but was cup-tied in the Conference Cup so was unavailable for selection but could be in line to make his debut next weekend against Larne Tech OB.

Lisburn Distillery exited the Conference Cup at the Quarter Final stage after defeat against league leaders Portstewart, with the Whites reduced to ten men midway through the second half due to a Callum McComb red card.

Attention remains with the cups as next week we welcome Larne Tech OB's to New Grosvenor in the Steel & Sons.

Please note that season tickets are not valid for today's game, which will go straight to penalties if level after 90 minutes.

Lisburn Distillery U21s travel to Breda Park tomorrow 2pm ko to face Finaghy IIs in their latest pre-season friendly a week before their first competitive game of the season.

It's just over a week until Lisburn Distillery U21s begin their competitive season.

This time around David Hawthorne's side will be competing in the National Conference U21 Development League along with; Aquinas, Ballyclare Comrades, Ballymacash Rangers, Derriaghy CC, Dollingstown, Lisburn Rangers, Portstewart, Rosario YC and St Oliver Plunkett.

The Whites league opener is at home to Dollingstown on Monday 14th September but before that we have an away day in the cup with a long journey to face Carrowreagh Celtic in the Craig Stanfield Junior Cup on Saturday 5th September.

The Dollingstown game is followed up with another away day in a cup competiton, this time to face Sixmile Athletic in the Junior Shield on Saturday 19th September, and then we have the first derby game of the season with a league game against Ballymacash Rangers at The Bluebell on Tuesday 22nd September.

Just over 24 hours until the Whites are back in action against Portstewart in the National Conference Cup with a place in the semi finals the reward for the victor.

Remember that there's no extra time in this competiton with the game going straight to penalties if there's no winner after 90 minutes.

Our "Brunch With Lee" event also takes place before the game with First Team Manager Lee Forsythe answering your questions over a cooked breakfast.
