Round 11 was incredibly wet all day, after such a dry summer we had to get up to speed fast.
FP - P6
TQ - P7
H1 - P6
H2 - P5
Final - P4
Round 12 was the dry conditions and jumping straight into qualifying, we had to adjust!
TQ - P8
H1 - P6
H2 - P7
Final - P9
Henry learned a big lesson in looking at the bigger picture when defending positions in the final after a good start to the race which dropped us back a few positions and not getting in the rhythm to push back through.
Not how we wanted to end the season but P4 being our highest final finish in our rookie year far exceeded expectations!

A DREAM COME TRUE - BKC IAME PFI 🏆
Ever since day 1, Henry has always wanted to race at PFi Karting and has always dreamt of a podium there and this weekend through hundreds of laps testing in preparation, true determination and fire in his belly he did it.
FRIDAY PRACTICE:
Prior track knowledge got Henry off to a good start, setting purple sectors and finishing the day P2 overall in terms of best times in 32c+ heat.
SATURDAY:
Timed Qualifying:
Henry started the weekend off strong qualifying P3, 3.5 tenths from pole.
Heat 1:
Struggling with the motor going off too early so settled for P6.
Heat 2:
With some adjustments we were racey for a longer period resulting in P5.
Final:
With a P4 start, a podium finish was in sights but just couldn’t make the required progress and finished P6.
SUNDAY:
Timed Qualifying:
After getting caught up in a nasty crash we only completed 2 laps, with a bent kart and working double time to repair it we resulted in P9 & 10 starts for the heats.
Heat 3:
Starting P9 Henry had a monster drive to finish P4, keeping a good start position in the final in sights.
Heat 4: As the day warmed we struggled with the kart going off early again but managed to gain 3 places to P7.
Final:
With a P6 start in the final we got up to P4 within a couple of corners but was muscled back to P7 by the end of the opening lap. Henry worked hard to break free of the mid pack and had a 3 second gap to the leaders with only a few laps to go.
On the final lap we gained a place in the penultimate corner to P5 and a drag race to the line we settled for P4 by 0.035s. However a post race penalty on P1 promoted us to P3 🏆
This was by far the best weekend racing we have had so far. The whole event was incredible, the racing was incredibly competitive and the driving level was such a high standard.

We couldn’t have done it without our mechanic Steve Thompson, the kart was impeccable all weekend.
And a huge thank you to Isaac Taylor #95 🇬🇧 for all your support and being Henry’s biggest fan.

PRACTICE DAY 🏁
Bang on pace today setting purple sectors, kart was mint, motors were mint, driver was mint. Let’s hope it carries on to tomorrow 🍀
