Today our U9s took part in a round-robin tournament at Welton and came out on top, winning on goal difference! 🎉⚽

A huge thank you to Welton Bombers and Hykeham Tigers for a fantastic couple of games. Playing two matches back-to-back was a real challenge, but every single player was outstanding from start to finish.

The team worked incredibly hard, played some unbelievable football, and scored some excellent goals along the way. The effort, teamwork, and attitude shown by all the boys made us very proud today. 💙🤍

💙 WJFC Under 6’s Match-day ⚽

“Today our Under 6s played their very first games as a team in a fantastic friendly against Collingham, taking part in the new 3v3 format.

With three teams each, 12 games in total, plenty of goals, great teamwork, and smiles from start to finish, it was everything grassroots football is all about! 😄

We couldn’t be prouder of every single one of these amazing young footballers. Their enthusiasm, confidence and determination shone through all day, and this is just the beginning of what promises to be an exciting journey as they prepare for their Under 7 season starting in September.

A huge thank you to Collingham for being such welcoming hosts and making it such a brilliant day for all the players.

Our one and only Under 8’s player, Margot, has been part of WJFC since day one. Playing on the left wing, she brings energy, determination, and a big smile to every game. We’re so proud to have her as part of the WJFC family! ⚽💙 Check out her questions & answers below 👇

1. ⚽ If you could be any football player for a day, who would you be and why?
👉🏻 Lamine yamal because he’s really skillful.

2. 🎉 What’s your best football moment so far?
👉🏻 Scoring 2 goals at our last tournament.

3. 👟 If you could design your own football boots, what would they look like?
👉🏻 They would be pink, blue and white predators, really colourful.

4. 🏆 If your team won a big trophy, how would you celebrate?
👉🏻 We would have a party with football music and we’d take loads of penalties.

“🏆 Greenbank Tournament 🏆

What a day! ☀️🥵

Today the Juniors headed to the Greenbank Tournament in some scorching temperatures.

We decided to shake things up by dusting off the away kit and returning to 5v5 football. Safe to say it worked!

From the very first game, the team were outstanding. They battled for every loose ball, worked tirelessly for each other, played some fantastic football, scored some incredible goals and produced some brilliant saves when it mattered most. Every player gave absolutely everything.

That hard work earned us a place in the Plate Final against Greenbank Barcelona. We knew it would be a tough game, and emotions were running high, but our players showed incredible discipline, composure and teamwork. They stuck together, kept playing the right way and battled right until the final whistle.

The result Plate Trophy winners! 🏆💙

More than the trophy though, it was amazing to watch the emotions throughout the day. There were smiles, celebrations, a few tears, moments of disappointment, moments of pure joy everything that makes grassroots football so special. Watching the children support one another, pick each other up and celebrate together makes us incredibly proud as coaches.

A huge thank you to Greenbank for organising another brilliant tournament, to all the opposition for some competitive games, and of course to our amazing parents and supporters who stood in the heat all day cheering the team on. Your support never goes unnoticed.

Days like today remind us why we do it.

What a debut it was, with Freddie putting in an outstanding performance against Greenbank Barcelona and deservedly being named Player of the Match! 🌟🏆
