John McNamee, North West Tandem Club is appealing to experienced local cyclists to commit an occasional session (perhaps once every 3 to 4 weeks) to enable visually impaired people to enjoy a cycle once or twice a week ( typically 10 - 30 miles). Without volunteers these cyclists are denied the opportunities we all take for granted. You are invited to a promotional and trial session at St Columb's Park House this Saturday 13 June. Will run 12noon to 3:00 - refreshments will be provided. .Please give this deserving cause serious consideration and if you can, make your way to this promotion at St Columb's Park House this Saturday - or follow up later with John McNamee / NW Tandem Club

quick note just to say thank you to the 60+ cyclists who turned out this morning to brave the 4 seasons in one hour on the cycle this morning. overall turned out to be a lovely day and sure we all got dryed off on the way home to the hospice thanks to the headwind. The great news is that we raised over £700 for the hospice today and for that we just want to say thank you very very much each and every single one of you. Some people today were doing 50 miles for the 1st time and i think enjoyed it even the 5 people who stopped in M**f for an ice cream on the way home. Again thank you each and every single one of you very much for your donations. Thank you also to Joe driving the support car, Karen, Shauna, Miriam, Sarah & Una as usual for looking after us all. Also big thanks to Moira, Jennifer, Jackie and Carmel the newbies :-)
