U15s vs U16s was a fantastic game, with some lovely netball played by both squads. More importantly, it highlighted the tremendous growth in the players’ attitudes and approach to the game.

Matches between these teams are always competitive, which is exactly why we all love to play. However, when you add inter-club rivalry and the pressures players often place on themselves, these fixtures can sometimes become intense for the wrong reasons.

This week was different. Every player demonstrated true sportsmanship, respect and maturity throughout the game. While the netball on court was excellent, I believe the real victory was the way both teams conducted themselves. The standard of behaviour, encouragement and support shown by all players was a credit to everyone involved, making sportsmanship the true winner of this week’s game.

Well done to both squads for representing your teams so positively. The progress you are making as players is clear to see, but even more impressive is the way you are growing as teammates, competitors and young people. Keep supporting one another, keep enjoying your netball and keep being the example that others can look up to. We are incredibly proud of you all. 💜🧡💜🧡💜🧡
