2026 Season Review

As another fantastic season of Super Sundays comes to a close, I just thought we should reflect and give thanks for what's been another brilliant year.
We held 15 events across six fantastic courses: Lundin Links, Leven Links, Scotscraig, Ladybank, Crail Balcomie, and Crail Craighead, welcoming juniors aged 11 to 17 from our five clubs. The aim's always been to bring young golfers together for friendly, competitive golf at great venues. Open to players with a handicap of 28 or below, with gross and net prizes, tracked via TourTrack. A huge congrats to Alex Murray of Leven Links for winning 9 of the 15 gross events this season, an outstanding achievement. Also well done to Harry Mason, Harry Sneddon and Jack Stuart for consistently strong performances. In the net event, congratulations to Michael Whiteford for securing the overall title after a season-long battle with Ekam Johal, who led for much of the year and the hugely improved Aaron Menzies from. As a mixed competition, it was fantastic to see strong performances from our girls, with Rebecca Whiteford, Jessica Wood, and Ellie Kilpatrick all producing excellent golf this season. Most importantly, a massive thank you to our five host clubs. Giving up the course three Sunday afternoons is a big commitment and we're really grateful for your support of junior golf.
With fields between 15 and 20 each week, we've built something special, but we're not done. Looking ahead to 2027, we want to grow the field sizes and, hopefully, add one or two new venues, giving even more juniors the chance to learn and compete in a fun, supportive environment.
Thanks again to every player, parent, volunteer, and club that made this year possible. We can't wait to see you on the first tee next season.

On a day with rainclouds and thunderstorms all around, we got really lucky with a nice dry evening at Scotscraig yesterday for our last event of 2026.
Well done to the two Leven boys Alex and Harry for a couple of great scores!!
