🚨 ✍️ NEW SIGNING | ZACH SAULT ✍️ 🚨

We are delighted to welcome Zach Sault to Thurnby Rangers ahead of the 2026/27 season.

A technically gifted centre midfielder, Zach arrives with tremendous quality and has already made a huge impression during pre-season.

Speaking on the signing, Manager Dexter Hayre said:

“I’ve admired Zach’s quality for a while and I’m delighted he’s finally joining us. He’s a player with tremendous ability who raises the standard every time he steps onto the pitch. We’ve already seen glimpses of what he’s capable of during pre-season, and his goal this weekend was a reminder of the quality he possesses. Signings like Zach show the direction this football club is travelling, and we’re delighted to welcome him to the Thurnby Rangers family.”

🚨 Retained - Connor King 🚨

We’re delighted to confirm that Connor King has committed to Thurnby Rangers for the 2026/27 season. 🍀

Our current longest-serving active player, Connor remains a huge part of everything we’re building at the club. A pacey winger who can also slot in at wing-back when needed, he’s capable of changing a game in an instant and is looking to put together an injury-free season to truly showcase his potential.

Connor still insists he was robbed of Goal of the Season, and also claims to be the fastest player in the squad… although we’re still waiting for the evidence! 🏃💨

A real character who is loved throughout the club and a light in the dressing room, we’re delighted to have Connor back at Dakyn Road for another year.

Matchday this afternoon sees us make the short trip to Loughborough to face Loughborough FC in our second pre season! Come down to the Drome and support the boys! ☘️

🚨 Retained - Nelson Matope 🚨

We’re delighted to confirm that Nelson Matope has committed to Thurnby Rangers for the 2026/27 season. 🍀

An electric fullback who can also operate further forward, Nelson’s pace, energy and attacking intent make him a huge part of the way we play. Last season saw him score his first goal for the club, provide a number of assists and reach the milestone of 50 appearances.

Playing in all but one game last season, Nelson’s commitment to the badge is second to none. Whether playing through injury or before catching a flight later that night, Nelly always gives everything for the team.

A cheeky character loved by everyone around the club and one of the first names on the team sheet, we’re delighted to have him back for another season.

🚨 Retained - Matt Daly 🚨

We’re delighted to confirm that Matt Daly has committed to Thurnby Rangers for the 2026/27 season. 🍀

A huge part of the current Thurnby era, Matt announced himself by scoring just 27 seconds into his debut, helping kick start a new chapter for the club with an opening day victory.

A committed fullback who can also operate further forward, Matt combines pace, energy and a never say die attitude with relentless desire. His consistency saw him miss only a handful of games last season, making him one of the club’s highest appearance makers.

Respected by players and staff alike, Matt is one of the first names on the team sheet, and of course, he never arrives alone, bringing the “Thurnby Ultras” - better known as his family; who offer great support both home and away!

We’re delighted to have Matt back at Dakyn Road for another season.
