Our team will be giving talks and demonstrations on arming the knight, skill at arms, combat techniques from historical Fechtbücher (fight books) as well as hands-on history throughout the weekend.

Throughout the weekend, our experts will bring history to life with fascinating talks and live demonstrations of armour, weaponry, and combat. Drawing on authentic fechtbücher (fight books), they'll demonstrate both armed and unarmed fighting techniques.

All set up for our 15th Century display and combat demo withe the Frei Compagnie near York today and tomorrow ⚔️🪓🗡️

A great day at the International Medieval Congress - University of Leeds. It was Hot, Hot, Hot 🥵 - and not the best idea to be fighting in Armour, but we managed it 💪⚔️🪓

We are here (9th July) supporting the International Medieval Congress - University of Leeds to commemorate the 555th anniversary of The Battle of Barnet as part of Making Leeds Medieval. With combat demos, forge, food display, a medieval market and even horses 🐴.
