PINK TRIBUTE ACT

Why not combine music and football on Saturday 27th June!

England v Panama will be live on our screens from 10pm in the main lounge - plus bar extension with last orders at midnight.

Before that we have a Pink tribute act. Doors for the main lounge open at 7.30pm and performance will be 8.00pm - 9.45pm including interval, followed by the England game - tickets are £8 from the bar for the Pink act, which is an 18+ age event.

The Templar Room will also be open throughout the evening for members to use, with main lounge also open to all members once the Pink tribute has finished.

WEDNESDAY 17TH JUNE
England vs Croatia

It’s nearly time for England’s opening game of the World Cup. We will be opening the club at 7.00pm, with last orders at 11.00pm. Kick off is at 9.00pm. Come down and watch all the action.

We are open this evening (Mon 15th) from 6.00pm with last orders at 8.00pm. Junior cricket will be on outside and we will be showing the 2nd half of Spain vs Cabo Verde inside.

ENGLAND WORLD CUP GAMES

Although the World Cup gets underway this Thursday, England’s first game isn’t actually until a week today. Here is the info you need around their group games being shown here at Whitkirk Club.

WEDNESDAY 17TH JUNE
England vs Croatia

We will be opening the club at 7.00pm, with last orders at 11.00pm. Game will be shown in the main lounge with kick off at 9.00pm.

TUESDAY 23RD JUNE
England vs Ghana

We will be open from 6.00pm, with last orders at 11.00pm. There will be no quiz taking place on this date so the game with full audio will be shown in the main lounge with kick off at 9.00pm.

SATURDAY 27TH JUNE
England vs Panama

The game will be live on our screens from 10.00pm in the main lounge, plus bar extension with last orders at midnight.

Tickets for the Pink act are £8 each and available from the bar which is an 18+ age event.

The Templar Room will also be open throughout the evening for members to use, with main lounge also open to all members once the Pink tribute has finished.

Should England progress through the group stages, we will then review dates and kick off times to hopefully show more games to you.

As for all the other group games, these will always be on our screens should they be on during our normal opening hours.

ENGLAND FOOTBALL AND PINK DOUBLE HEADER

We are going to trial a Monday evening opening when the junior cricket have a home match. We will open at 6pm, and last orders will be at 8pm. This will start from tomorrow (Mon 8th) and then we will also trial this on Monday 15th also. Members can obviously visit the club even if not watching the cricket.

This is weather permitting so if the cricket was cancelled due to the weather, we would not open the club.

Steve is back tonight with his family fun night. There will be the usual games and music, with prizes to be won. The action gets underway from 7.00pm. As always, it’s a free event, just turn up and all ages are welcome. We are open from 1.00pm until 11.00pm on Saturday’s.

MEMBERSHIP RENEWALS AND NEW MEMBERS

Membership renewals are now required, and we have held the cost again at £25 for the year. We are also welcoming new members to join this month. You don’t have to play a sport, you can just use the social club.

Paul Rogers (aka PR) is our new membership secretary and he will be in the club on the following dates and times. If none of these times suit you, you can renew or join with a member of bar staff.

As with previous years any renewals not completed by 1st July will see the membership card being blocked, however this will be unblocked as soon as renewal is made in July.

Leeds Rhinos are in Super League action this evening at home to St Helens. Kick off is at 8.00pm we will have it live on our screens here. We are open from 7.00pm
