Final Match of the Season! ⚽️

Lochalsh make the short journey to Portree for our final match of the season, in the clan Donald cup, against Portree FC. We’re not totally out of the cup yet, if we produce a good performance and score some goals then we are still in with a shot of the trophy.

Lochalsh 1-2 GA United ⚽️

The boys will be gutted after this one, a poor first half performance and a heart braking late winner for GA. The first half was a strange one, Lochalsh couldn’t keep the ball for very long due to stray passes and constant GA pressure. The Lochalsh defence and Calum Reeves-Womble managed to stop any efforts from the away side, however we didn’t create any meaningful chances and went it at half time 0-0. The second half started slightly brighter, however it was GA who broke the deadlock with a lovely move down the right wing by Joel Goldby who twisted and turned and found the net. Lochalsh managed to respond well to this by applying a lot more pressure and it was a Joe Russel free kick that met Ali Nixons header, placing it into the bottom corner. The players went wild but it was short lived, GA netting from a free kick cross into the box and the game finished 2-1.
Tough one to take, lots of players missing and a lacklustre performance in a game where we could have done so much better. However we’re not down and out yet, if results go our way we can still manage to grasp the cup. On to Portree away this Friday ⚫️🟡⚽️

Clan Donald Cup 🏆

Come along to Plockton Astro Turf to watch Lochalsh play their first of two games in the Clan Donald cup round robin. We welcome Garioch and Aultbea in what promises to be an exciting west coast fixture. 3pm kick off ⚫️🟡

The battle of the bridge ⚽️

The boys in yellow and black have their final league game of the season, tomorrow night, where they welcome local rivals Kyleakin FC in what promises to be an entertaining fixture with some pretty tasty outcomes:
- A win for Kyleakin puts them into the Top 4 of the table, where they will compete in the Ewen MacRae Cup ⚽️
- A win for lochalsh will lift us off of the bottom of the Table and put Kyleakin out of the Ewen MacRae cup and into the Clan Donald Cup along-side Lochalsh 🟡⚫️

Come along to Douglas park and experience first hand the drama that is: “The Battle of the Bridge”. ⚽️

How did you enjoy your burgers today?
Because we enjoyed making them for you. Thank you to everyone who came along to Kyle gala today and enjoyed one of our delicious burgers 🍔 We managed to raise £1292.90 for lochalsh football club, a huge amount that will go a long way for our team.
Thank you to the organisers of Kyle Gala for the spot at the event, and to George MacRae of Lochalsh Butchers for supplying the burgers and grill to cook them.
Being a part of the community was one of the pillars that started this football team, so the response today was lovely to see 🟡⚫️

Sleat and Strath 5-3 Lochalsh FC

Next fixture ⚽️⚫️🟡

Next up for the boys in yellow and black is our second last league fixture of the year, against Sleat and Strath FC. Sleat will be looking to remain in the title race so it will likely be and exciting game. Come along to Plockton high school Astro turf and cheer the boys on this Tuesday ⚫️🟡

Lochalsh 2-3 Fort William ⚽️

A closely contested game on Douglas park saw visitors Fort William travel back to lochaber with the full 3 points after being reduced to 10 men.

The Lochalsh men came back level from going behind twice but couldn’t finish the job against a fort William side full of youth and fight.

Next game for the lads in yellow and black is against Sleat and Strath on Tuesday the 18th on the Plockton Astro turf. Stay tuned for updates 🟡⚫️
