5k test tonight - 19:41 šŸ† Sub 20 baby!

Absolutely buzzing with that tonight!

At the end of last year I had a 5k PB of 22:53 and set myself a goal of going sub 21 this year so absolutely blown away to smash a sub 20 in August.

I’ve been working on improving my running and it’s great to see the work paying off. Massive shout out to The Strength Sanctuary | Ayrshire Gym team for pushing me on every week.

Time to see what I can do in the half marathon in October and set myself sights on a sub 40 10k too - let’s get it šŸ’ŖšŸ»

The Summer BounceBack is here.

I’ve created this for anyone who’s enjoyed their summer, lost a bit of routine along the way, and now feels ready to start prioritising themselves again.

Not to punish yourself for holidays, meals out, barbecues or time with the family.

And definitely not to try and ā€œundoā€ summer as quickly as possible.

The goal is to help you get some structure back and build a routine that actually works around your life.

We’ll focus on the things that actually matter:

Training that fits your week.
Nutrition without having to give up your social life.
More daily movement.
Better habits and routines.
Accountability when motivation inevitably drops.

All with the aim of helping you become stronger, fitter, healthier and more confident over the next few months.

Because fitness shouldn’t have to take over your life for you to make progress.

Have a read through the carousel for all the details.

If you think the Summer BounceBack could be exactly what you need, send me BOUNCEBACK and we can have a chat about whether it’s right for you.

There’s still plenty of time left in 2026 to make a big difference to how you feel.

Not by trying to be perfect or putting your whole life on hold.

Just by adding some structure back, prioritising yourself again and building habits that actually work when life gets messy.

For a lot of people, this time of year is a much better time to reset than January.

Spend the rest of this year focusing on you and you will finish the year stronger, healthier and more confident.

If this sounds like exactly what you need right now, keep an eye on my page later today! šŸ‘€

I’ve got something coming that might be for you!

The scales don’t make people quit… panic does.

A few days ago I stepped on the scales after my holiday and they were up 2.5kg.

A few years ago, that number would have sent me into a bit of a tailspin.

I’d have cut my calories way down, done loads of extra cardio, cut out all foods I enjoyed or thought were ā€œbadā€ and tried to get the weight off as quickly as possible.

The problem is, you can usually keep that up for a few days.

Then the hunger kicks in.

The cravings start.

You overeat at the weekend, feel guilty and tell yourself you’ll ā€œstart again on Monday.ā€

Sound familiar?

Now, I don’t do any of that.

I just get back to the habits that were already working before I went away.

A few days later, almost all of that extra weight from my holiday has already come back off.

Not because I did anything extreme.

Because I trusted the process.

One holiday.

One weekend.

Or one meal out…

None of those things ruin your progress.

What matters is what you do next.

Don’t panic.

Get back to your normal routine and let your habits do the work.

Have you ever fallen into the I’ll start again Monday trap? Let me know in the comments.

Getting back into routine after my holiday has felt surprisingly easy this week.

And it’s not because I’m really motivated, I’m definitely not.

It’s because over the last few years I’ve built systems that make the healthy choice the easy choice.

When I got back I didn’t need to think about what I needed to do next, I already knew.

My meals were planned
My training was scheduled
My water bottle was filled

I already knew what my week looked like and had systems in place to make sticking to my habits easy.

There were fewer decisions to make and less opportunities to fall off track.

That’s what I encourage clients to do, not to rely on motivation but build systems that make things much easier to stick to.

Good systems are what will keep you consistent.

In the next few days I will be launching my summer rest project to help people find routine and structures they can stick to for the long term after a summer of no routine!

What’s one thing that makes it easier for you to stay on track? Let me know in the comments!

Day 2 of getting back into routine after holiday…

Yesterday I told you that I’d come back from Spain 2.5kg heavier on the scale.

Today?

The scales are already down 1.45kg.

I haven’t done anything extreme

I haven’t punished myself.

It’s simply because I got straight back to the habits that were already working before I went away.

That’s exactly why I encourage my clients not to panic after a holiday or a big weekend if the scales jump.

One week or weekend of enjoying yourself doesn’t undo months of progress.

Likewise, one ā€œperfectā€ day won’t fix everything overnight.

Forget trying to undo your holiday.

Get back into your routine.

Be patient.

Let your body settle.

Consistency will always win out in the end.

The scales don’t tell the full story.

I came home from holiday 2.5kg heavier.

In the past I’d have seen that number, felt ungodly amounts of guilt, panicked and gone straight into ā€œfix itā€ mode.

I’d have cut my calories, added hours of cardio and tried to get the weight off as quickly as possible.

Now I know better.

A couple of days of eating out, enjoying a few (many) beers and changing my routine doesn’t suddenly mean I’ve gained over 2kg of body fat.

Most of it will be water, glycogen and simply having more food in my system.

So instead of punishing myself, I’m doing what I encourage my clients to do.

Get back into your normal routine.

Eat your usual meals.

Move your body.

Be patient.

Over the next few days I’ll show you exactly how I’m getting back into routine after holiday, without guilt or extremes.

These are some of the habits I’ve been repeating consistently every week in my short fat loss phase.

While dropping body fat requires a calorie deficit, the structures and routines you put in place to achieve that are ultimately what will determine how easy it is to achieve your goal.

These have been working well for me so far and allowed me to perform well in the gym (I’m still getting stronger and faster) while enjoying life and foods I enjoy.

I’ll be sticking to the plan for another week before moving back to a maintenance and performance phase (more to come on that later). The habits will largely stay the same throughout with some small tweaks and adjustments.

If you have any questions drop them in the comments or shoot me a DM - I’m always happy to help! 😊
