Run Report - 342 12th September 2026
This week 157 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 56 were first timers and 16 recorded new Personal Bests. Representatives of 32 different clubs took part.
The event was made possible by 21 volunteers:
Here come the Stats-Cliffe Castle parkrun started on 15th September 2018. Since then 9,782 participants have completed 44,400 parkruns covering a total distance of 222,000 km, including 6,503 new Personal Bests. A total of 606 individuals have volunteered 7,525 times.
As we say is Yorkshire at bit of nowt weather - doesn't know what it wants to do. So we put the gazebo up to make sure it doesn't rain!
A great turnout today with visitors from Germany, Nottinghamshire, Woking, Sweden and New Zealand. Special mention for Amelia's first run and Jess's 50th.
And a slightly unusual thank you to Katie Holmes who, after I'd forgotten to collect the balloons kindly opened her shop at 8pm so I could collect them. So, without a moments hesitation I can recommend

Well, Otis lead the field home today as first finisher. He tells me that his fastest time was on Xmas day (17.05) so, if you want more speed it's the turkey diet for you.
