My camping this summer has been at festivals, so it was an absolute treat to be back Lee Valley Regional Park Almost Wild Campsite. No snoring from fellow campers, just a soundtrack provided by my hosts. I watched bats hunting over the water before turning in and woke to the calls of tawny owls at dawn.

Yesterday (July 4) I joined at monthly eco-gathering for a session of flag making for convivial water relations.

We used mud from the Channelsea River to create our resist and Lara took the flags home to dye with meadowsweet.
