So much fun at drawing club at .coffee last night. A night for the soul getting lost in a flow state cutting and sticking to make a cute little piece with poetry from for our new home - specifically my coffee bar I’m working on with my Facebook marketplace shelf which was free. 😍 Making a home for my family and I is where a lot of my creativity is going right now instead of flowy asana yoga practice and that’s ok. A little movement is good when I am inspired to. It’s always there when we need it. 💫

I studied interior design at uni and I understand the connection between home and self very differently now. I enjoy mixing old and new. Re-using or upcycling where possible. Your body can feel like home or you can feel like a guest in it. Consciously living slower with intention and presence is what helps to bring them back. ✨

It’s been a little while hasn’t it?! Ah hey!! 👋

I stopped teaching last year whilst I was studying my CIPD level 5 to eventually change career and life has just passed in by! Then we bought our first home together and have been settling and enjoying our family.

I’ve crazily reduced my social media usage in that time and I feel great for it. What’s not so great is that my physical practice has been near enough non-existent. I also started the gym 5 weeks ago and am enjoying the different movement that is giving my body and mind. That being said I’m so stiff and rigid these days. Tonight of all nights Alex and I were chatting away putting the world to rights and I felt the need to get moving. Honestly I have no idea where my mat even is right now so the beautiful thick green carpet we’ve inherited will do for now. 🤣

I just wanted to say for now as life is as it is, mothering (a recently fractured leg toddler), step-mothering, partnering, having friends, family, working, gymming, planning and hosting our engagement party, moving, planning a wedding next year, oh and renovating a bungalow that I won’t be committing to teaching for now. 😭💔🤣 That may change because let’s be honest it’s me and I absolutely thrive on being busy but I also know when is too much. 🙅🏻‍♀️

But I’d like to stay a little more connected to you lovely lot as I’ve had some really kind messages lately asking if all is ok which is so lush. 🥹 the truth is life is pretty friggin good. ❤️

Weekly adventure feeding the ducks brings me to the present moment. Everything is so novel and magical when you’re small. 🥹

Mandarin ducks are still considered rare so I love showing them to Tobes. He’s so calm and content in nature. I had a chat with an elderly client at work whilst pregnant who told me she and her husband would take their daughter to the ducks when she was small. They would also feed the birds from their garden. That daughter (now 50) works in a bird sanctuary and she is so passionate about nature and animals.

That conversation has stuck with me and inspires me to explore and adventure with Toby in every moment during these formative years. Alex and I are such outdoorsy people and hope he will be too. 🥰

Happy Easter. I’ve gone AWOL this weekend for a couple of days in my happy place Manchester with my bestie. 🥰 Very much needed 🥰 It’s never to get away from the kids, it’s to get closer to me. It’s so easy to disconnect from that as a mummy. ❤️

We did our family Easter egg hunt, book and pancakes on Friday so all is not lost. 🐣

SEASIDE RUNNING CLUB WITH YOGA STRETCHING & SEA DIP AFTERWARDS

Because why not? 🤷🏻‍♀️💪🏼 I’ve taken up running again in the last month and am really enjoying it. The first few were tough and not enjoyable at all to be honest but after about 3/4 I found my rhythm again. I love yoga but I don’t get the endorphin rush like I do after a good old run. I would love to train to run more 10k runs and possible a half marathon one day. 😍

Anyway I am going to scout out a spot we can use which can be for a small group of people to walk/jog/run and then we can stretch out with some yoga sun salutations afterwards, optional sea dip and maybe grab a coffee. ☕️

A laid back group of likeminded people who want to start/continue running but need the accountability of others to commit- like me. 😝🏃🏻‍♀️👊🏻

The first will be a trial and all being well I might hold them more regularly. I asked a poll where if you’re interested in this to reply to my poll. If you are interested but didn’t reply to the poll then send me a DM and I can add you to the list. 😊
