Scone 2026 is here and rolling 💪🏼🥰

Very proud of the boys today in the workers.

Annella Cowan’s Rosco was a little bit shell shocked but absorbed it all, pulled his socks up and tried so hard! A fantastic first experience at a big show in the novice workers for him 🥰 he finished well and I am sure he will have gained a lot of confidence 💪🏼

Carole Stewart’s William never disappoints and jumped two beautiful clear rounds in his worker classes. A cheeky wee change in the go round led to 3rd place in the novice workers but he was classy when he went back in for the BHS class to pick up 2nd place 🥈One of only six clears 😃

We decided to leave the third class as he had just been so good and stood like a champ with his ears pricked in his last class ❤️

Shout out to Katy and Anna for all the help prepping them both to perfection 😍

Next up is my girls tomorrow who attempt their first one star. It’s their first time at a big show and the main goal is just to complete and soak up the atmosphere. Looking forward to the weekend ahead!

Frances Johnstone

Today Frances Johnstone’s Diamondgraaf Reign Dance locked in her 3*L qualification with a super run Frickley Park International Horse Trials 💪🏼

Her dressage test was a big improvement from her debut at Burgham and we managed a fairly solid test of 38.1. Still plenty of room for improvement but no sassy unexpected cantering 🤣

Show jumping this morning she jumped a super round. Just clipping the back rail of the oxer on the way out of the combination for 4 faults ☺️

Cross country she was super. Loved the technical combos and bigger questions. I think we jumped them the best! Can’t wait for photos 🥰 the ground is definitely quite hard round here with the lack of rain so we didn’t gallop to the time like crazy but we got our all important MER and finished in a very credible 23rd place 🎉

The cross country caused quite a lot of issues so it was great to have a confident run. Even more special is this is actually my first ever time qualifying for a 3*L as sadly Quincy injured his leg on his final qualifying run at Alnwick 4 years ago now ❤️ Sure he has been cheering Reign on from the field at home where he now lives his best life nannying the kids and getting out for hacks 🥰

So proud of Reign! Made it well worth the trip down south and even better that Frances and Wendy made it here to watch ❤️ my ever faithful super groom Polly made sure we were turned out to perfection and looked after us after the cross country, thank you as ever to Polly for being my partner in crime!

Sometimes it is nice to just focus on the one pony occasionally, though I admit to loving the chaos of the many 😁
