Match day 3

💥💥 Pilgrims Vs New Boys 💥💥

Match day 3 we welcomed Discoveries New Boys to Roval Drive.

During the game it was about the Pilgrim players not giving up and showing real grit and determination as the New Boys are a well drilled and disciplined side.

New boys started quick and finding the back of the net a few times. What was pleasing for us is that the boys showed great heart and never given up. It was a real test of character and the boys showed they are up for a challenge.

We chipped in with a few goals ourselves which shows we kept going to the end of the games.

PMOTM - George, great attitude played with confidence and kept trying to do the right stuff.

MOTM - Rory, another player who kept going. Won some big tackles and was unlucky not to score at the end.

Match day 2

💥💥Pilgrims u8s vs Galacticos u9💥💥

We know what a challenge this game was going to be for the boys. Galacticos are a good well organised side so the Pilgrims had to be at there best.

For most of the game it was an even contest with both sides creating chances, both side battling hard for possession and both side putting in good tackles and working hard.

It took a special free kick from Galacticos to break the deadlock lock, which followed both a well worked team goal from them.

The Pilgrims never gave up and kept pushing for a goal but it just wasn’t there day. Up against a fantastic goalkeeper and some wasteful chances.

We wish Galacticos all the best this season and will come back stronger next week.

Man of the matches were roles reversed from last week.

PMOTM - Arthur, absolute man mountain for us again.

MOTM - Hamzah, full of energy all game and a constant threat.

Week 2 and plenty of football to be had for the Pilgrims.
Roval Park will be busy all weekend with the U13s Colts playing their first home game of the season Saturday.

Sunday and the U9s game is one to set your alarm for with an early kickoff off at Coomb Briggs, the U8s are looking to continue their great start to the season with a home game against a talented Discoveries team.

The U12s Colts will be looking to chalk up their first win of the campaign on home turf.

The U8s Colts, U10s and U10s Colts hit the road for their away day fixtures, while the U11s and U14s have venue changes for the 2nd week running as they await Blossom Way being available.

💥💥Opening day of the season 💥💥

The pilgrims sure know how to open a campaign.

Today we welcomed Catenaccio u9s down to Roval drive for our opener, and what a game it was.

The young pilgrims were fast out the traps and first to every ball, never giving Catenaccio any time on the ball. We asked them to work hard and to press players off and on the ball and they all did that real.

Off the ball the boys worked there socks off and we looked solid with Arthur putting in a MOTM performance and Jaxon was as composed as ever.

It really was a joy to watch today and it was a hard one to pick MOTM.

Parents MOTM - Hamzah. Who was outstanding and a handful for any defence, he also picked up the match ball.

MOTM - Arthur. He was like John Stones today solid in the tackle and his vision from playing out from the back was awesome.

This weekends Fixtures for all ages groups.

Plenty of football across both days and lots going on at the Home of Immingham Pilgrims Roval Drive.
The U13s Ladies kick us off with a home fixture against Grimoldby, while the U13s Colts make the short journey to Whitgift Academy to take on GCW Town.

Sunday sees two games at Roval Park, with the U8s looking to start strong playing a year up in the Orange league and the U12s take on GCW Mariners in a very popular age group with teams spread over 6 leagues. A 3rd game only a stones throw away at Coomb Briggs Primary school sees the U10s Colts host Catenaccio.

Both the U11s and the U14s have venue changes as they await Blossom Way being available.

The Linden Club host both the U9s and U10s as they take on Clee Town teams from their respective ages.

The U8 Colts travel to Taylors Ave to play Catenaccio U8s while the U12 Colts have the furthest to travel, making the journey to Humberston Academy to play Grimsby Boro, playing on the 3g will make the journey worth while.

Hamzah - We are absolutely buzzing to get Hamzah to commit to the pilgrims for the 26/27 season. He was our talisman last season and the pilgrims leading scorer. We know how lucky we are to have him and looking forward to working with him again, this lad is a future super star ⭐

Hamzah completes the squad for the 26/27 season and we can’t wait to get going.

Ollie- We couldn’t be happier with this signing. He has committed to the pilgrims for his 2nd season. This lad has the 2nd best left foot only behind the GOAT Lionel Messi himself. We know what he brings to the team with bags of goals and assist, just a little bit more work rate and he will be some signing.

We look forward to working with Ollie again next season 👀.

George - We are absolutely buzzing to get this deal over the line on transfer deadline day. He comes with a huge price tag but his talent warrens it. Georgie has impressed every time he has put a pilgrims top on. We are really excited to have George on board.

George will play in the 19 top previous retired by Lamine Yamal so no pressure 👌
