The sun is shining as our teams prepare for today’s fixtures. The 1XI taken on Shelley CC at Westerley Lane as our 2XI host their 2s at home.

📣 PLAYER SHOUTOUT 📣

This weeks shoutouts go to two players who batted together at the weekend with 116 run partnership.

We were sure it was the first of many a couple of weeks ago and another came just a fortnight later as Ryley reached his second 💯 of the season off just 92 deliveries with 8 fours and 7 sixes! Top work from the young man! 🔥

Batting with him at the other end was Logan Gordon who managed his first second team 59 with 64 runs off 65 balls, with 5 fours and 4 sixes. Well done 👏

On top of his knock on Saturday, on Sunday saw the third team struggle to 92 all out but again comes Logan Gordon with a 5/19 with 4 deliveries taking the top of off stump! It was the catalyst the team needed as they bowled Upperthong out for 73. Excellent weekend with both bat and ball. 🏏

Happy hour will be for 1 hour before kick off until the first goal goes in.

The weekend our 1XI host Barkisland CC as they try to make it 3 from 3 whilst our 2XI take on Almondbury Wes at Kaye Lane.

📣 PLAYER SHOUTOUTS 📣

This weeks shoutouts are from the 1XI match against Meltham CC on Saturday.

Having Meltham put 236 on the board off 48 overs, Broad Oaks innings didn’t start in the way they’d have wanted falling to 27-3. A 129 run partnership between Sean Mee (74) and Satyam Panday (37) put the team in a good position. Noah Brook then got the team all but home with a blistering 50 off 29 balls.
