Plot twist: you don’t always need a new body. Sometimes you just need a new goal.

And this is what 3 years of changing mine looked like. šŸ‘€

2023 āž”ļø 2026.

I went from training, competing and coaching CrossFit for over 10 years to chasing a completely different goal through bodybuilding.

And honestly? I still absolutely LOVE CrossFit.

But the goalposts have changed.

CrossFit and bodybuilding are two entirely different sports.

Different training.
Different stimulus.
Different mindset.
Different ways to push your body.

And I LOVE that.

There’s something so exciting about learning something completely new - becoming a beginner again, figuring out what works, understanding my body differently and finding new ways to challenge myself.

Physically AND mentally.

Because progress isn’t always about becoming a completely different person.

Sometimes it’s about taking everything you’ve learned, changing the goal, and seeing what else you’re capable of.

2023 me loved the challenge.

2026 me still does.

Just a very different challenge now. šŸ”„

And I’m only getting started.

I’ll be sharing more of the journey - the training, the lessons, the wins, the struggles and everything I learn along the way.

If you’re on your own journey of becoming stronger, fitter or simply seeing what you’re capable of, follow along. šŸ–¤

Something feels different this month… and I’m ready for it. šŸ”„

Diving into September with fresh energy.

A new routine.
A new school for my son.
New rhythms as a mum.
Taking my training and nutrition up a notch to see what I can achieve - watch this space šŸ’ŖšŸ¼

And alongside that, watching my clients work hard, stay consistent and push towards their own goals - and being there to support them every step of the way. 🤩

Big work goals, personal goals.
Lots of exciting things happening behind the scenes.

It feels like a new chapter and I’m genuinely excited for it.

No rushing. No forcing. Just peacefully ready to see what’s possible and to go with the flow…

September, let’s see what you’ve got. šŸ”„

And I’d love to know… what’s happening in your world this month? New beginnings, goals, changes, things you’re excited about - tell me.

I always love hearing what you’re working towards šŸ„°šŸ‘‡šŸ¼

Your mood is allowed to change.

Your habits don’t have to.

Don’t let how you feel dictate everything you do.

Stress. Emotions. A bad night’s sleep. A busy day.
They can all hijack your focus and make you lose sight of what actually matters to you.

This is where consistency and good habits become so powerful.

Not because you have to push through everything.
But because you learn the difference between ā€œI don’t feel like itā€ and ā€œI genuinely need to rest.ā€

And that’s exactly why I believe in Regulate - Strengthen - Recover.

Most people focus almost entirely on the strengthen part — train harder, do more, push further.

But if you’re not regulating your nervous system and prioritising recovery, eventually your body will start shouting what you’ve been ignoring.

Burnout.
Constant fatigue.
Poor recovery.
Losing motivation.
Or simply feeling like everything is a chore.

The goal isn’t to be disciplined 100% of the time.

It’s to build a body and lifestyle that allow you to show up consistently without constantly running yourself into the ground.

Regulate.
Strengthen.
Recover.

Do all three consistently — and you might just find you enjoy the process a whole lot more. 🄰

If you’re tired of starting over, pushing harder and wondering why it isn’t working, this is where coaching can help.

I’ll help you understand what your body needs, build a training and nutrition approach you can actually sustain, and learn how to regulate, strengthen and recover — without living in the all-or-nothing cycle.

DM me ā€œCOACHINGā€ and let’s talk about what you need to move forward.

Some people see discipline…

I see freedom ✨

This isn’t a hobby - This is my idea of FUN šŸ˜‰

The hard work.
The effort.
The dedication.
Showing up when I could easily choose not to.

I genuinely enjoy it.

Not because I have to. Not because I’m trying to prove anything. Not because I’m chasing perfection.

Because this is for me.

Training makes me feel strong, keeping promises to myself builds confidence and putting in the work fills my cup.

And I’ve realised… that’s okay.

What fills your cup might look like hard work to someone else.

But when you genuinely love the process, the discipline doesn’t feel like punishment.

It feels like freedom. šŸ‘ŠšŸ¼

Save this for the days you need the reminder - and share it with someone who understands that discipline can be something you enjoy, not something you endure šŸ’ŖšŸ¼

MASTERING THE ART OF SAYING NO.

Saying no - Harder than it sounds.

Especially if, like me, you’re a people pleaser.

The fear of being judged.
The fear of disappointing someone.
The fear they won’t like you anymore.
The guilt that kicks in the second you put yourself first.

So you say yes.

Even when you’re exhausted.
Even when you don’t have the capacity.
Even when you really, really don’t want to.

And then wonder why you feel resentful, overwhelmed and completely exhausted.

I’ve had to learn that saying no isn’t selfish, It’s not rude and it certainly isn’t a weakness.

It’s a boundary - a form of self-respect.

There’s science behind this too. When we constantly say yes to avoid conflict or rejection, we can keep our nervous system in a state of heightened stress - constantly scanning other people’s reactions and prioritising their needs over our own.

And every time we override what we actually need, we teach ourselves that everyone else’s comfort comes before ours.

Learning to say no starts to change that. It takes practice.

For me it’s understanding my boundaries, knowing when I have more to give and when I’m at capacity.

Recognising the difference between a genuine YES and a yes driven by guilt, fear or the need to be liked.

And sometimes the hardest part?

Realising that someone being disappointed by your boundary doesn’t mean you’ve done something wrong.

You can love people and still say no.
You can care about people and still choose yourself.
You can be a good person without being available to everyone, all of the time.

Because protecting your energy isn’t about caring less about other people.

It’s about finally caring about yourself too.

And honestly?

The more I practise saying no, the more I realise…

Every no to something that drains me is a yes to something that matters to me. ā¤ļø

šŸ‘‡šŸ¼What’s one thing you need to start saying NO to?

Maybe it’s overcommitting.
Maybe it’s people pleasing.
Maybe it’s constantly putting yourself last.

Whatever it is, let this be your reminder:

You’re allowed to have boundaries.

You have one life

So go live it. Follow the dream. Take the chance. Go after what you want.

And you do you.

I held myself back for years, constantly worrying about what other people thought and making everyone else happy. But in the process, I made myself unhappy and resentful.

And then I wondered why I was always so exhausted and drained.

Until I finally realised…

Why was I spending my life making everyone else happy while neglecting myself?

Now that is insane… and guess what I learned?

Filling my own cup didn’t make me selfish.
It helped me show up as a better person for everyone around me.

Funny that. šŸ™„

Don’t let ā€œit’s not the right timeā€ turn into years of waiting.

ā€œI need more time.ā€
ā€œWhen the kids are older.ā€
ā€œWhen work settles down.ā€
ā€œWhen life is less busy.ā€

Maybe there will never be a perfect time - tomorrow is never guaranteed.

So make space for the things that matter to you.

You don’t need everyone to understand your choices.

You get one life. Make it yours. ā¤ļø

Some days, the greatest gift isn’t what your body can achieve - it’s simply that you can move. ā¤ļø

Don’t take that for granted.

Move with gratitude.
Move with intention.
Move because you can.

Your body doesn’t have to be perfect to be worth appreciating. ✨

Regulate - Strengthen - Recover

You vs You

Not the girl on your feed with the ā€œperfectā€ physique. Not your gym buddy who never misses a session. Just you against yesterday’s version of you.

Against the excuses. The bad days. The inconsistency. The overthinking that keeps you stuck instead of moving.

And here’s a big one - that nagging feeling that you should be doing more😫

More workouts.
More restriction.
More steps.
More time researching what everyone else is doing.

When really?

You might need to do less but the right things, in the right order, for YOUR body and YOUR life.

That’s often the blind spot. You can’t always see it when you’re inside it. You’re too close to your own life, your own habits and your own expectations to see the bigger picture.

And that isn’t weakness - That’s being human.

It’s why I coach - And it’s also why I have a coach .zia šŸ’ŖšŸ¼

Because sometimes you don’t need more information. You need someone who can look at the whole picture and say:

Here’s what’s actually holding you back. And here’s what we’re going to do about it. That’s how I coach.

No generic plans.
No guessing.
No doing more just to feel like you’re doing ā€œenough.ā€

Your training, nutrition, recovery and lifestyle need to work together - around your body, your goals and the life you actually live.

Regulate - Strengthen - Recover.

If you’re tired of spinning your wheels and want a plan built specifically around you, send me a message with ā€œCOACHINGā€ and let’s talk about what’s actually been getting in your way. ā¤ļø

5, 4, 3, 2, 1… GO.

Because sometimes the biggest thing standing between you and what you want isn’t a lack of motivation

It’s overthinking.

I’m terrible for this. So are a lot of my clients.

I’ll wake up, stay in bed for ā€œjust a few minutes,ā€ and suddenly my brain’s running through everything I need to do that day. Overwhelmed before I’ve even got up 😫

Or I’ll be tired and start convincing myself I don’t have the energy to train.

That’s where the 5 Second Rule helps.

5, 4, 3, 2, 1… move.

Don’t negotiate with the voice in your head.

Get up. Trainers on. Start the warm-up. Take the first step.

But here’s the part that gets missed:

You can’t 5-4-3-2-1 your way through everything.

Sometimes you’re not lacking discipline. You’re genuinely exhausted. Your nervous system is overloaded. You haven’t recovered. Your plan doesn’t fit your life.

That’s why my coaching isn’t just ā€œpush harder.ā€ It’s knowing when to:

šŸ§˜šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø REGULATE - get out of overwhelm, back into the present
šŸ’ŖšŸ¼ STRENGTHEN - build your body, confidence and capacity through consistent training
😓 RECOVER - give your body the sleep, nutrition and space it needs to actually adapt

Then we build a plan simple enough to follow consistently - because you shouldn’t need to constantly wonder if it’s working.

You need a plan you trust. Habits you can repeat. Patience with the process. And sometimes, someone in your corner reminding you what to do when your brain starts making everything feel harder than it needs to be.

Take out the guesswork. Follow the plan. Show up. Do the work. Then go enjoy your life.

And when you’re overthinking it?

5, 4, 3, 2, 1… GO.
