✨GRAND FINALS QUALIFIER✨

We had a great Sunday morning at the Grand Finals Qualifier in Gillingham, and what a result for our small team of Juveniles! 🏆

For many of them, this was their first ever Grand Finals competition, and we couldn’t be prouder that they have all now qualified for this year’s Grand Finals in November! 🎉

Our finalists achieved an amazing set of results, with all finalists finishing in the top three:

🏆 8 x 1st places
🥈 11 x 2nd places
🥉 5 x 3rd places

And in the Solo section we also had:

⭐ 1 Semi-Finalist
⭐ 2 Quarter-Finalists

A huge well done to every single one of you. What a brilliant first step into the Grand Finals scene!💙

Our First Steps classes are specially designed for adults who are new to dancing and want to learn the basics in a relaxed, friendly and supportive environment.

After 7 incredible years, we have something very exciting to share…

Ellis Dance Club is here. 🤍✨

Seven years ago, it was just two women with a big idea, a lot of determination and absolutely no idea quite how big this little dance school could become. 😂

We opened our doors in 2019 with a dream of creating something special — and somehow, seven years later, we’ve turned that little brave moment into one of the most successful dance schools in the country.

And we’re pretty bloody proud of that.

Two women.
A lot of hard work.
A ridiculous amount of jelly babies and Jaffa cakes!
A few arguments along the way…
And an incredible community of dancers who have believed in us and helped us build something far bigger than we ever imagined.

It hasn’t always been easy.

In fact, just six months after opening our doors, a global pandemic arrived. Because apparently we weren’t allowed to have an easy start. 🫠

(But thank goodness there’s only been one of those)

But we kept going.

Through the highs and the lows, the competitions, the parties, the zoom sessions, dancing in the park, the long days, the late nights, the countless hours of teaching and training, the successes, the disappointments, the celebrations and everything in between — all of those moments have made us what we are today.

And somewhere along the way, we realised something…

We’re not really a dance school anymore.

We’re a club.

A community.
A team.
A place where people belong.

And that’s why it felt so right for our name to finally reflect what we have become.

Welcome to the Ellis Dance Club. 🤍

And this isn’t just a new name and a shiny new logo.

Alongside our rebrand, we’re launching an entirely new class schedule, built around the idea of working as one — as a team, as a club and as a community.

We’re bringing you more dance styles, including American Smooth, Latino Fit and even more coming later this year.

We’re introducing more class levels and abilities, so whether you’re taking your very first steps onto a dance floor or you’re an experienced competitor looking for your next challenge, there will be a place for you.

Every class has one goal:

To make every dancer who walks through our doors a better dancer.

But we want it to be about more than that.

We want you to walk through our doors and feel like you’re part of something.

We want beginners to feel just as welcome as our top competitors.

We want you to celebrate each other’s successes, pick each other up when things don’t go to plan, make friendships, have a ridiculous amount of fun — and occasionally question why we thought that dance was a good idea. 😂

Because after seven years, we know that the people are what make the club.

So yes, there’s a new name.
There’s a new look.
There’s a new timetable.
There are new classes.
And there is a lot more to come.

But the things that matter most aren’t changing.

The passion.
The ambition.
The hard work.
The standards.
The fun.
And the belief that anyone can become a better dancer.

Seven years ago, two women opened the doors to a little dance school.
