Parking is at Kimberlow Lane Car Park (free parking).

5k Your Way, Move Against Cancer is a a community-based initiative to encourage those living with and beyond cancer, families, friends and those working in cancer services to walk, jog, run, cheer or volunteer at a local 5k Your Way parkrun event We are a support group with a difference.
🔷 We meet on the last Saturday of the month.
🔷We take part in the parkrun and do as much as we can . There is

no pressure.
🔷You can walk, run, cheer or volunteer.
🔷 After we socialise with a coffee and cake.
🥰 ANYONE is welcome! People living with cancer, people recovering from cancer, friends and family as well as health care professionals.
➡️ Register for 5k Your Way and parkrun. This is a 5 minute walk to York Sport Village and the parkrun course which is on the cycle track. We meet next to the start line. Look out for the blue 5 K Your Way meeting point banner.

This week Heslington Parkrun is cancelled so 5KYW is going on tour to Woodhouse Moor Parkrun in Leeds to join their 5KYW team. Feel free to join us.

Join us at Heslington cycle track at 8.45 am on Saturday 31st January. Run, walk, volunteer or cheer, whatever you feel like doing, just be there and join in. Cancer support group with a difference. Breakfast/coffee afterwards.

Not every day you get royal approval at parkrun 👑

This morning, His Majesty The King joined Sandringham parkrunners in the cafe to offer his congratulations, including to the Sandringham 5k Your Way, MOVE Against Cancer Charity, group as they marked their one-year anniversary.

Anyone coming along to Heslington 5K Your Way tomorrow, see details of access to car park. Need to approach from roundabout near petrol station rather than the traffic lights near B&Q.

The roster is looking good ahead of tomorrow!

We are in need of a back up timer if anyone would like to do this - let us know via Facebook or email.

We look forward to seeing your Yorkshire marathon and 10 mile tees!

Please remember to park in Kimberlow Car Park!

There are some works along Kimberlow Lane & so if you are travelling from the east of York ring road etc, Kimberlow Lane can be accessed by continuing down Hull Road until the roundabout, taking a left, then going straight across the roundabout 200m down the road to then reach Kimberlow Lane. (marked out by blue lines)

For those entering the roundabout from the west - the route is fine and there should not be any interruption.

Would you like to learn to Nordic Walk?

Starting on Monday 8th April and running for 4 consecutive weeks, join our Nordic Walking course for cancer patients!

Nordic Walking boasts a range of benefits for those living with cancer - such as reducing cancer fatigue, improving strength and flexibility after surgery, reducing lymphoedema risk and more.

Our courses are completely free and are run by a qualified CanRehab instructor. The sessions will run from 10am-11am each week.

Who is joining us on Saturday for our 5th anniversary of 5K Your Way in York? Meet at Heslington park run (York Sport Cycle Track) for a 9am start. Look out for the blue 5K Your Way meeting point flag new the start line. Did I mention there may be cake.
