We got off to a bit of a sloppy start today — we hadn’t quite woken up yet! 😴⚽

After the opposition managed to score, it really sparked the team into action. They dug deep and weren’t going to let the game slip away. There were still a few heart-stopping moments along the way, but the team kept pushing and working hard.

Final score: 1066 Lions 4–1 🦁⚽

A brilliant game with some fantastic football played, and we’re absolutely delighted to be through to the next round! 😃👏

Another win for the Lions this weekend! 💪⚽️

The team played some fantastic football, scoring some amazing goals along the way. The opposition never gave up, kept us on our toes and made us work hard right until the end. Credit to them for a great game!

Westfield Blacks 1–1 1066 Lions Blue 🦁⚽️

Super proud of our Under 14s Lions today! They travelled away to face a tough Westfield Blacks side, and both teams put on an absolutely fantastic game of football for everyone watching. 👏

We grabbed the lead in the first half with a brilliant goal from David, sending us into half-time 1–0 up and buzzing! Westfield came back strong in the second half to grab an equaliser, and after a brilliant battle from both sides, the match finished in a 1–1 draw.

A huge shoutout goes to Layton, who played an absolute blinder in goal! Thanks to his incredible saves, he took home both the Players’ Player and Managers’ Player. Well done, Layton! 🌟🧤

What a way to open our season! 🦁⚽️

Our Under 12 Lions have started their first year of competitive football with a fantastic 4–3 win! 🏆

It was a great game of football from both sides, but our boys/girls dug their heels in, dug deep and battled right until the final whistle. This team have been working incredibly hard, and they should be so proud of themselves today. 👏

A massive well done to Nathan, who was awarded Players’ Player 🏆 — thoroughly deserved!

And congratulations to Layton, our Managers’ Player 🏆 — another fantastic performance!

🏆 What a way to kick off the season!

Our U14 1066 Lions Blues took a fantastic 5–4 victory against Bexhill Whites today in an absolute thriller of an opening game.

Both sides played some incredible football in a highly competitive, evenly matched battle.
