This week we’re talking about colour and emotions, using yoga poses to express those different feelings.
We’re also celebrating Dot Day all week, encouraging everyone to give art a chance, making a dot and seeing where it takes us. Everyone is an artist and removing the ‘perfect product’ takes the pressure off ☺️!

✨ So lovely being back with the Friday gang for a fundraiser for ! We shone the golden light within us to everyone in the village, we hid from the lava in our safe yoga zones and we finished with a sparkly pineapple to decorate our window for this golden month. 🍍
Some plonker may have taken some of the sponsored golden bows, but they cannot steal the collective spirit of this village!

🍍 Come along tomorrow/Friday at 9:30am for a special fundraiser for Hassocks Goes Gold! I was very saddened to see that six of the glorious gold bows from the sponsored trail have been stolen so prompted me to make tomorrow gold and pineapple themed in aid of the well deserving charity. ✨

🍍 Please spread the word and come along with your toddler/preschooler/grandchild/childmindee! We’ll finish the session by making a jazzy pineapple to decorate our windows and show the perpetrator that Hassocks is definitely GOLD! ✨

Year Two Art club is back!
We had a great session back with a new batch of artists, some new faces and some familiar old faces, back in the fold 😍🥰. We experimented with oil pastel resist painting, making lines, being free, no right or wrong, to loosen them up and give them confidence. I’m really encouraging the idea that we are all artists and that any perceived ‘mistakes’ can be turned into a beautiful ooops!
Looking forward to seeing them again next week! 😍

❤️ Come and spend quality time with your child/grandchild on Friday mornings at Bendy Bubs from next week! Starting back Friday 11th Sept. We use movement and yoga poses to bring songs, games and stories to life, igniting their imaginations with a different theme each week.

🧘 We start with a welcome circle to get to know each other and introduce concepts of turn taking and gratitude to the children (you are welcome to talk on their behalf if they’re feeling shy!). We have songs, games and stories, integrating yoga poses (lots of pretending to be animals, for example!) and breathing exercises, all in a fun, child centred way. This is very different to adult yoga, we don’t stay still for long and energetic kids are very welcome! We finish with an art/craft to do together and to then take home.

🌟 You don’t have to come each week-we know you’ll have life admin to do on some Fridays or a poorly bub to deal with! Just turn up to whichever Fridays suit you and your child best and pay on the day (Bacs, PayPal or cash). £7 for the whole family, siblings are free!

🧘‍♀️ Please bring a yoga mat or message me if you’d like to borrow one.

🚘 Free parking by Adastra Hall or the second carpark on Orchard Lane. There is usually the great cafe caravan, Parklife, parked right next door for all coffee and treat emergencies 🤣.

I’m doing some lesson planning and admin this week (and recovering from my big boy starting secondary school 🥹) so we’ll be back for more toddler and preschooler fun on Friday 11th September at 9:30am. Pay on arrival. Join us for some fun with your little one 🥰

Birthday Parties! 🥳
Bendy Bubs birthday parties take many forms but they’re all so much fun! I’ve lost count of how many I’ve done over the years, including all sorts of themes like; Trolls, dinosaurs, mermaids, unicorns, superheroes, Gabby’s Dollshouse, My Melody, Harry Potter, space, jungle, Lego and mythical creatures. If a child is into something, I can normally create a party theme around it!
Parties start with temporary tattoos so I get a moment with each child to get to know each one, then we play some games and get them moving and get their wiggles out! We finish with an on theme art/craft.

Art parties can take different forms too, either three smaller crafts or one larger, more in-depth art project, normally suited to older children.

Another holiday session with some of my old favs! Always lovely to see these little natterboxes and get creative together. We experimented with radial printing on these gorgeous bright colours and even had time for these super fun foam air dry clay dragon eyes. That foam clay is great for sensory feedback and sculptures without the disappointment of dry breakages, like you get with normal air dry clay.

These Trolls rocks (and one shark my son did!) are leftover from a Trolls themed party (SUCH great theme for a kids party! 😍🤩) I did at the weekend. I’m going to hide them around the village for the kids to find. If you find one, please share a photo on Hassocks Rocks on Facebook!

Bendy Bubs birthday parties can be a mixture of Bendys games and movement activities and arts n crafts or just art/crafts and can be themed to almost anything! I’ve done dinosaurs, mermaids, unicorns, superheroes, Harry Potter, My Melody and Gabby’s Dollshouse to name but a few. Get in touch if you’d like to know any more xx
