Looking for advice and support around autism, ADHD, or SEND in general? We'd love to meet you. 🙌

Alongside colleagues from Extra-Support for Families, Kids Inspire, and Harwich and Dovercourt High School, we'll be on hand to chat about the support available to children, young people, and families across the region, through:

☕ a friendly, informal environment
💬 opportunities to ask questions and get practical advice
🙌 space to learn about local services and support available to your family

At Autism Anglia, we know that finding the right information isn't always easy. That's why our Community Connect Team will be there to help families navigate autism, ADHD, education, benefits, assessments, and much more.

Places must be booked in advance by Friday 18th September, so if you'd like to attend, please contact EXTRA or Harwich and Dovercourt High School to book your place.

🍬💗 Sweet Shack opening times are changing after the holidays! 💙🍩

Now the summer holidays are over, our young people will be balancing the Sweet Shack around school, college and other commitments, so our opening hours are changing slightly.

This week we’re open:
Wednesday 9th: 4pm–7pm
Friday 11th: 4pm–7pm
Saturday 12th: 12pm–4pm
Sunday 13th: 12pm–4pm

Pop by for sweets, hot doughnuts, slushies, fudge, drinks and more 🍭🍩

The Sweet Shack continues to give young people real work experience through Teen Time Pathways, helping them build confidence, skills and responsibility while running the business.

🎉 NEW FREE SPORTSMART COURSE AT THE LIGHTHOUSE! 🎉

We’re really pleased to share that a new 12-week SportSmart course is starting at The Lighthouse Sports & Social Hub for young people aged 13–16.

The programme is designed to support young people through sport and physical activity while helping them build:

* confidence and resilience
* motivation and future goals
* decision-making and problem-solving skills
* positive relationships and peer support
* everyday life skills
* opportunities to gain qualifications and accreditations
* leadership and volunteering experience

It can be particularly helpful for young people who may be experiencing low confidence, poor mental health, school attendance difficulties, anti-social behaviour, vulnerability to exploitation or who are at risk of becoming NEET.
