π **TEENAGERS - IT'S NEVER TOO LATE TO LEARN TO SWIM.** πββοΈ
Can your teenager swim confidently?
Perhaps they missed lessons when they were younger.
Maybe they never quite mastered swimming.
Or perhaps they can get themselves across a pool but don't feel confident in deeper water.
Whatever the reason -there is absolutely no embarrassment in learning now.
In fact, as teenagers become more independent, being able to swim becomes even more important.
Days out with friends, holidays, paddleboarding, trips to the beach... and, realistically, teenagers may find themselves around lakes, rivers and other open water with their friends.
We want them to have the skills and confidence to make safer choices if that happens. π
π TEEN SWIMMING LESSONS AT CLEETHORPES SWIM ACADEMY
And don't worry... we know they're teenagers! π
These aren't children's lessons filled with games and activities designed for little ones.
Our teen sessions are structured, purposeful and age-appropriate, with a focus on:
π¦ Learning and improving the swimming strokes
π¦ Breathing and technique
π¦ Building stamina and distance
π¦ Deep-water confidence
π¦ Floating and treading water
π¦ Water-safety and self-rescue skills
π¦ Building genuine confidence and independence
Whether they're starting from βI really can't swimβ**, can swim a little but lack confidence, or simply want to become a stronger swimmer -we'll meet them where they are.
No judgement. No pressure. And definitely no need to feel embarrassed.
Because learning to swim isn't just another activity.
It's a life skill. π
And at 12, 14, 16 or beyond...
IT'S NEVER TOO LATE. π
π© We currently have classes available for teenagers.
Message Cleethorpes Swim Academy to chat to us about the most appropriate class.

ππ ERMβ¦ WE FORGOT OUR OWN BIRTHDAY! π π
Apparently, when you're busy teaching hundreds of swimmers, answering approximately 7 million messages π€£, training teachers, moving classes around, finding lost goggles and generally causing chaos around a swimming pool...
You forget you've been open for a WHOLE YEAR!π€¦ββοΈπ
So...
π HAPPY 1st BIRTHDAY TO US! π
Just over a year ago, Cleethorpes Swim Academy was basically...
π‘ An idea
π A very long to-do list
β° Six weeks to make it happen
β Probably far too much caffeine
..and a slightly questionable amount of confidence that we'd somehow pull it off. π
But we did.
And somehow, that little idea has turned into one BIG aquatic family. π
In just one year we've...
π Helped swimmers become stronger
π Watched confidence absolutely SOAR
π Talked (a lot! π) about water safety
π‘ Explained the *why* behind what we teach
π Celebrated hundreds of little wins
π And made a LOT of waves along the way!
We've had swimmers who wouldn't put their face in the water...
..who now jump in without a second thought.
And we've probably shouted...
βHEAD DOWN!β
βLONG LEGS!β
and
βONE MORE TIME!β
more times than we'd care to count. π€£
Are we everyone's cup of tea?
Probably not. β
And we're actually okay with that.
Because we're proud to care about the little things.
We're proud of our standards.
We're proud to be honest about progression.
We're proud to teach quality, not just distance.
And we're proud that our swimmers don't simply learn what to do - we want them and their families to understand why they're doing it too.
And Year Two?
Ohhhh... we've got plans. π
So to every single swimmer who has jumped, splashed, kicked, floated, laughed, occasionally cried π and achieved with us...
And every parent who has trusted us, supported us and become part of our slightly crazy aquatic family...
THANK YOU. π
CSA wouldn't be CSA without you.
Now someone please remind us when our 2nd birthday is... π€¦ββοΈππ
HAPPY ONE YEAR, CLEETHORPES SWIM ACADEMY! ππ

Sometimes the biggest achievement is simply feeling safe, happy and confident enough to get into the water. π
β PARENT TESTIMONIAL
βBefore Zeppelin started at Cleethorpes Swim Academy, he was absolutely terrified of the water.
When he first joined, he refused to even get into the pool for nearly six weeks. Tracey and her team showed him so much patience, kindness and understanding, allowing him to go at his own pace and build his confidence when he was ready.
Fast forward just six months and he is a completely different child! π
His confidence in the water is astounding. He now jumps into the pool without hesitation, looks forward to his lessons and absolutely LOVES swimming! πββοΈ
I cannot thank Tracey and her team enough for everything they have done for Zeppelin. They have been brilliant, and I would recommend Cleethorpes Swim Academy to absolutely anyone.
Iβm so excited to continue watching him grow in confidence and progress through his swimming journey!β π
A very proud CSA parent π

Always busy behind the scenes training the next generation of swimming teachers. πͺ
These guys are have been exploring effective communication and motivation this weekend.
Did you know we are always investing in our existing staff with training and mentoring
Just another reason why we are always striving for the best. Donβt get me wrong we wonβt always get it right but we will always do what IS right and continue to build on standards.
Whoβs ready for the new term ? :) # # #

π‘ TOP TIP THURSDAY
π₯½ Goggles leaking?
Before tightening the strap⦠check the fit!
Goggles shouldn't need to be painfully tight to keep the water out.
A good pair should create a gentle seal around the eyes, with the strap simply helping to keep them in place.
π Top tip:
Press the goggles gently onto the face without the strap. If they stay in place briefly, you've probably got a good seal!
Comfortable goggles = one less distraction when learning to swim. π¦
