It was the first JPL Warriors fixture for the girls today in the cup against a very good Hull City team ⚽️

The girls battled hard and pushed Hull for the full game, a couple of brilliantly well worked goals for Hull but also a couple of very costly errors on our side, which made it difficult for us to get back into the match!
In stages the girls played some good football and created a couple of brilliant chances. Ava Mason scored an excellent 25 yard strike but it was given offside from what happened during the build up.

⭐️A great effort from the girls today against a brilliant Hull City team who are competing in the premier division this season, a league above ourselves. Every game we are playing now the girls are always learning against these academy teams and each game we will get there⚽️🔵

Emily was box to box today didn’t stop running for the team, got on the ball and tried looking for them right passes. Looking at Emily these past few weeks we can see how much of an important player she’s going to be for us this year!👏🏻
Natalia, as the game went along came into it and showed some great pressing, confidence travelling with the ball and showed her determination winning her individual battles⚽️🔵

🔵Yesterday the girls hosted a very talented New Evolution Girls Academy

We knew that the game would be a challenge so the girls had to be up for it from the start, and they definitely were!
A very tight and competitive game in the 1st half but we found ourselves 2-0 down. A sloppy goal our end gifted them the 1st goal and the 2nd goal was a well taken goal from there striker. We felt very unlucky to be losing by two at half time.

2nd half was very similar to the first, very competitive. Evolution starting well in the 2nd half and probably slightly on top but the girls came up strong in the last 20 minutes pushing for a goal. The ball fell kindly to Emily from the edge of the box which she struck well but was heading slightly wide, only for Poppy to nick in at the back post and tap it in nicely! ⚽️
There were some close efforts from Amelia, Ava, Seren and Tessa but unfortunately we couldn’t get that equalising goal! 🥅

A much better performance from the girls this week against a team who are going to be playing in the JPL premiership next season, a division above ourselves. Every girl should be very proud of themselves ⭐️

We would like to welcome our new signing Emily Ellis, after playing against Emily last season we already knew how talented she was and when we found out she wanted to come down training for us we knew that we wanted to sign her straight away⚽️

Throughout preseason she has already shown her quality’s what she will bring to the team, strong, box to box midfielder who has a great eye for a pass and a brilliant long distance shooter, the coaches are excited to see what Emily will bring to the team and we think she will play a very important part this season and has the ability to thrive in the jpl league with us👏🏻⚽️

🔵We would like to welcome our 3rd recruit of the summer Isla Lovesey, she is making the step up this season by leaving her own age group and playing a year up like our other younger one Imogen💪🏻✨

An outstanding defender with all the right attributes, pace, excellent reading of the game and will bring great composure and calmness to our backline. These past 6 weeks she has shown to the coaches that she is more than capable of stepping upto the jpl league with us, impressing in training and putting in some great performances against some top opposition⚽️
