**Sunday 4th June**

End of season 2023

The plan for Sunday is a light, fun training session down at Battery Park from 1100-1200 and then the coaches will walk the kids up to Fort Matilda where we will have a Slip and Slide on the hill. Bring your swimming shorts, towel and a change of clothes.

The weather is forecast to be great all week and we wanted to go out on a high all together. This is the last official session of the season and we hope to see as many of you down at Fort Matilda as possible. The bar will be open and the sun shining all day! 😎 🍻

Greenock Wanderers Minis Festival 2023

We hosted our annual tournament today with visiting teams from Ardrossan, Birkmyre, Bishopton, Cartha, Garnock and Paisley. Over 400 kids from Primary 1 up to Primary 7 at Fort Matilda in the sun.

Thanks to everyone for coming along and to all the volunteers at Greenock for helping organise and run the tournament. Lastly, to all the players who turned out and hopefully enjoyed their rugby at Fort Matilda.

This Sunday is our much-awaited annual Mini's Tournament! 🤩 Teams from Ardrossan, Birkmyre, Bishopton, Cartha Queens Park, Garnock, and Paisley will be joining us for what promises to be an incredible day. 👏

All our Minis squads will be involved, and we can't wait to see these future rugby stars in action. 💪 The action kicks off at 11 am, so make sure to be there by 10:30 am.

📣 What a day out for the Greenock Wanderers Under 10 & 12s Girls team at The Marr Tournament! 🏉👏 They played some incredible rugby, showing off all their skills and winning all their games! Here are the scores from the day:

The Hike to Everest Base Camp for GWRFC Youth Rugby!

Four amazing women who support all sections of the club recently completed the extreme trek to Everest Base Camp.

Jillian Crighton, Debbie Crighton-Barnes, Outi Kylmälä and Jackie Graham completed a hike which is 5800m above sea level (which is FOUR times the height of Ben Nevis), experiencing temperatures of -18°.

They are reaching these new heights so the Youth Rugby of the club can itself reach new levels.

We are over half way to the goal but still need your help reaching it.

**Minis Fundraising Quiz Postponed**

The scheduled Minis Fundraising Quiz Night on Friday 31st March has been postponed. We will hopefully be able to reschedule another date soon.

Thank you to everyone who had planned to go and we will use some of the donations at the Minis Tournament at Fort Matilda on Sunday 23rd April.
