Massive congratulations to Grays Town Bowling Club on winning both the Group 9 Top Club and Group 9 Double Fours. In the Top Club we had a 5 rink to 0 victory, whilst the Double Fours team see off a challenge from Thurrock Bowls Club winning both rinks in convincing style.

Congratulations goes out to Danny Curl of Springhouse bc who won the Ian Peggs singles title beating Grays Towns Alex Lindsay

🎉 Last night Grays Town played Harlow BC in the semi final match of the County Shield and WE WON 79-53💪. We are sooo proud of the whole squad who have played a part in getting Grays Town to the final beating Rayleigh, Silverthorn and Wanstead Central along the way. We will now play either Essex County or King's Chase in the FINAL on Sunday 6th September at Braintree BC.

Last Sunday Grays Town Bowling Club hosted a Great British Bowls pairs event. We ended up with 13 pairs who all competed for a place in the finals in September. It was a great day and a big thank you goes to Terry Mizen for his efforts in organising the day. Thank you also to our bar team and cooking team for keeping everybody fed and watered on a hot day!☀️

Our very own Peter Line and Alex Lindsay made the semi final, but were beaten by David Payne and Chris Beard from Sharnbrook BC (Bedfordshire) who go through to the finals.
Spencer Goss and Martin Sanderson from Wickford also went through to the finals.

Our County Shield team had a victory over Wanstead central bowls club last night, winning 2 rinks drawing 1 rink and loosing 1 rink, making a score of 70-77 to Grays Town Bowling Club. We now progress into a county semi-final against the winner of Frinton BC or Harlow Bc.

👏🏆Wally Ball winners 2026 - Group 9 🏆👏

A day to remember! Huge congratulations to the whole Group 9 Wally Ball squad for their performance in not only yesterday's final, but all of the group games leading up to it. Group 9 took on Group 2 in the final at Essex County B.C. winning 2 rinks and losing 2 rinks but claiming the win on overall shot difference 💪

This is an incredible achievement and Grays Town Bowling Club are so proud of everyone involved from our club, and our fellow clubs too.
