𝑰𝒕 𝒆𝒏𝒅𝒔 𝒂𝒍𝒍 𝒔𝒒𝒖𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒂𝒕 𝑶𝒍𝒅 𝑺𝒐𝒖𝒕𝒉𝒇𝒊𝒆𝒍𝒅𝒔 𝒂𝒔 𝑺𝒕𝒓𝒐𝒐𝒅 𝒅𝒓𝒂𝒘 𝒂𝒈𝒂𝒊𝒏𝒔𝒕 𝒍𝒂𝒔𝒕 𝒔𝒆𝒂𝒔𝒐𝒏𝒔 𝒄𝒉𝒂𝒎𝒑𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒔

Strood kick off their first Saturday league season with a draw against Riverside.

Riverside started the game better scoring in the opening 30 but Strood hit back in the second half with two goals in the opening 15 minutes. Both sides battled well and with Strood close to a win, Riverside scrambled a set piece over the line in the closing 3 minutes of the game.

Whilst we view this a loss, it doesn’t take away all of the positives away from that performance.

Strood debut in the Rochester & District Premier Division against last seasons winners Riverside.

We faced Riverside in our recent charity match where we walked out 2-0 winners and both teams had a shifted side.

Strood will be eager to kick off their season with a big three points and set their stall out for the season ahead.

The game is also renowned as a huge occasion where Strood will be playing their first game at their new home ground in Gravesend.
