Well done to our newest member of the team, Calvin, for picking up the trainer of the week award. Since joining us, Calvin has shown a real hunger and desire to compete strongly and do well for the team as a whole and this was even more evident at this weeks training sessions. Some lovely technical ability and awareness on show this week. Keep up the hard work Calvin!

Linlithgow Rose Blacks

Boys had something to prove today after a slightly slow opening league game last week and they didn’t half come out with something to prove even after sloppily going a goal down early.

The lads then took everything we work on into the game and didn’t stop playing football the right way throughout. Some excellent attacking football on display combined with some really good composed play at the back.

Happily for the coaches a lot more desire and willingness to attack the ball on show today which really set us up to press forward.

As always a few things to take away but a real positive performance.

🏆 MOTM 🏆

Harry took MOTM today for an action filled performance worked his socks off all game for the team and was all over the pitch. Loads of defensive work in the first half from centre mid then drove us forward in the second half in a more unfamiliar position and grabbed himself a goal deserving of his efforts. A real selfless team performance from him.

⚽️ Signing News ⚽️

We are pleased to add to our squad with the signing of Calvin Ross.

Already well known to the boys and coaches from playing against and from additional training away from the club.

Calvin is a talent who brings not only physicality but real football ability and we are delighted he has chosen to join us.

He has already shown his capabilities in training and we look forward to his debut in orange tomorrow.

Carter took trainer of the week, adding it to man of the match from the weekend and making it a clean sweep this week.

Great work rate and defending at both sessions. Adding to some lovely playing out from the back as well as some absolute rockets in the shooting drills.

A great week from the lad really showing what he’s capable of.

⚽️ ⚽️ Glenrothes Festival ⚽️ ⚽️

Sunday 16th August 2026

The boys travelled across the forth to take part in the Glenrothes Festival on Sunday afternoon in the last of our summer football festivals where we had five fixtures including a match against our friends at the Grange.

A lot of good football was played by the boys and a few stand out performances led to a good day where we were ultimately unbeaten. Some outstanding passages of play from the boys taking everything from the training field into the game. Hats off to the defence for tightening it up at the back.

Made hard work of it in a couple of games hopefully the lads take the lesson from this that ability alone isn’t enough they have to all match that with hard work and desire.

However our inability to convert our many many MANY chances into goals is a trend that we are still unable to shake unfortunately.

A lot of shooting practice needed this week!

Murieston Reds

1st game back and as expected a highly competitive game to start - always is with the boys at Murie Reds.

Our boys played some good football throughout with passing triangles and link up play on show with the lads really building on this way of attacking now.

As always a few things to take away from a positive start to the league however some all too familiar bad habits let us down.

Carter took MOTM today for an assured performance, attacking the ball in defence throughout, using his body really well and steping forward to link up excellently with the midfield. Really good performance with everything we ever ask of our defenders on show from him today.
