The result is in... Thanks to sorcharworld FC who travelled from Dundee to play us today, Langside Dominated the first half with a goal coming from Mark McGraw hitting a lovely half volley which lobbed the Sorcharworld Goalkeeper, Beautiful finish, Langside went into halftime 1-0 ahead.

The second half Sorcharworld came out with high energy and were in search of the equaliser, Langside done well to kerb their enthusiasm and held strong creating a good few chances in the second half, However couldn't convert.

Sorcharworld kept their press and finally got their equaliser from Midfield maestro Diego with a nice hit from the edge of the box with keeper getting a touch but not enough to keep the ball from trickling over the line.

All Even at the End.

Well done to both teams👊

This is the day, this is the day, that we win away, that we win away.

Sat 30 May saw the return leg of Sorcharworld v Langside at the Dundee International Sport Centre. It was a great day out with transport courtesy of Nick McDiarmid's mini van.

It was another close game with silky play, red cards, meaty challenges, foul shies, 5 goals, and a penalty shootout. Class.

Winger Gaurav opened the scoring with a great finish before getting on the wrong side of the ref. Sorcharworld equalised with a penalty and then took the lead through an outstanding goal from Diego. Two more goals in the second half meant it was 3-3 on aggregate.

Both teams took good penalties but it was Gerard Gough who powered the winner into the top corner- see video.

Many thanks for the game and for the hospitality afterwards. Burgers and beer in the Braes watching the Champions League final. If the Arsenal players want tips on penalty taking, they know where to find us.

Smooth journey home with a crate of warm Tennents and still time to hit the pool hall near Langside Sports Club. What a day!

It was a beautiful sunny day for the Open Day on Saturday at Langside Sports Club. Our match was an internal game on the theme of a recent wedding with team captains Rusty and Gaurav facing off:

the Best men vs the Groom's men.

It was a great match with lots of goals and good play. We were really pleased to get quite a few new faces involved for the open day who all did really well.

In the end the Groom's men in dark blue ran out winners and lifted the Open Day cup, followed by beers and bouncy castle.

Langside FC v Sorcharworld XI

Photos from Langside Football Club's post 01/04/2026

Delighted to welcome Sorcharworld XI to Langside Sports Club for an inaugural friendly match on Sat 28th. It was a fun, even, competitive match.

Sorcharworld opened the scoring with a thunderbolt from Ecuadorian internationalist Jose. Not to be outdone, Langside's David Moore turned into prime Gareth Bale picking up the ball in his own half, surging past countless players, and ending with an emphatic finish to equalise. Tricky winger Gaurav then put Langside in front with the aid of a deflection. The second half saw chances for both teams but Langside finished winners 2-1.

We were delighted to host Dundee boys in the clubhouse afterwards for pizza, beer and to watch a less entertaining match- Scotland v Japan at Hampden. We're looking forward to return leg in May!

Goal of the match: David Moore
