It's here! Go check out Martyn Robertson's new documentary on BBC iPlayer. The Blackhouse Films team can't wait for everyone to watch.

🎹 WATCH NOW! Blackhouse Films is excited to announce our next documentary: Seeing with Sound.

The film follows 21-year-old piano player Ethan Loch, who at six years old was already composing his own music. Born blind, the film captures Ethan and his family’s world, as he prepares for his first professional concert performance, whilst contemplating a potential life-changing move to London.

Director Martyn Robertson joins him at this pivotal moment in his journey, giving audiences a glimpse into how the remarkable pianist sees using nothing but the sounds around him.

Seeing with Sound is a part of Series 10 of Our Lives, which shares stories through the eyes of remarkable people doing extraordinary things throughout the UK. If you missed our broadcast on BBC One last night, head to BBC iPlayer to watch the programme today: https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/m002ypm8/our-lives-series-10-seeing-with-sound

🚴🏼‍♂️ It was just over a year ago when our last feature documentary hit screens at the sold-out Glasgow Film Festival Closing Gala. Since then, the film has gone on a nationwide tour, screened in international festivals, and won several awards – most recently having won for Sports Documentary at the Celtic Media Festival and an RTS Scotland Award!

Our sincere thanks to the support we have had from our community and amazing audiences along the way. We hope you’ll stay tuned for our next work (coming very soon!)
