π’ NORTH & SCOTLAND LEAGUE UPDATE π’
Following discussions between all competing clubs, the venue for the next round of the North & Scotland Cycle Speedway League has been changed.
Round 5 will now be held at Edinburgh on Sunday 5th July.
The change follows objections to the proposed switch to Sheffield. Heckmondwike had already booked accommodation in Glasgow, while Edinburgh raised concerns over their ability to field a competitive team if required to travel to Sheffield.
A proposal was put to all clubs last night, with every club voting in favour of staging the meeting in Edinburgh.
The remaining three league fixtures will go ahead as originally scheduled.
We thank all clubs for working together to reach a solution and look forward to another exciting day of racing in Edinburgh.

πFantastic Racing At New Borders Track π
A massive well done to everyone at the Border Raiders Cycle Speedway Club for putting on a great day of racing. Record number of junior's and 5 full teams in the seniors.
Massive thanks to Ewan Tulloch and Alex Matthews for helping the day run smoothly.
Glasgow started strong with race wins from Kyle Holland and Andy Macdougall. Kyle's pass on Harry Langdale looked special, a massive dive using the banked 3rd/4th bend! The first sign that the new track would provide some great racing!
Peter Hopley found the fence trying to avoid Jack Brownell who clipped a wheel after a fantastic race from Gavin Kennedy riding slightly defensively and making it work! Peter and Jack got back on there bikes and raced to the line with peter just getting 3rd on the line.
Andy took his 2nd win passing Jack who ran slightly wide on the banked 4th bend. With the extra banking on the bends it was tricky to get the best line through the corners.
Peter picked up a great 2nd place keeping us in the fight for the win.
Colin Mc Tumble made a great pass using his speed to move i to 3rd.
Tomasz Majorke picked up valuable points on a tricky track.
Andys last race got restarted 5 times! The referee not happy with a bit of bumping at the start. In the end Jason Keith used his experience to let Jake Slight ahead and cover Andy.
Klye and Jack had a great battle in his last race, Jack dived in on the 1st bend making the pass only for Kyle to do the same thing into the 3rd bend. A fantastic effort for Kyle who has really helped us stay competitive in this league. A massive thanks travelling from Sheffield on public transport to race with us.
