Match Report | Coach Jie Report 🗞️

Eagles 1–2 Easterhouse

Easterhouse came away with a hard-fought 2–1 victory over Eagles in a closely contested match.

Eagles took the lead early on but Easterhouse responded in the 17th minute when Jay calmly converted from the penalty spot.

Easterhouse continued to threaten, but Eagles defended well and created opportunities of their own. The match remained finely balanced, with both sides looking for the crucial next goal.

The winning goal came in the 64th minute when Colton found the back of the net, with Theo providing the assist.

Despite Eagles' efforts to respond, Easterhouse held on to secure the 2–1 victory.

It was a close match, with the result ultimately shaped by the number of chances Easterhouse created and the opportunities they missed. Leighton was called upon on very few occasions as Aaron worked tirelessly throughout the game against the striker.

James was outstanding in midfield, winning almost every duel in the centre of the pitch and putting in an excellent all-round performance.

A lacklustre attacking performance but a win in the end which is great to take from a competitive match.

Coach Jie spoke after the match,

"Very frustrating today for the coaches, too many players off it and not reaching the standard that THEY have set. Quality, decision making and final ball where all off it today and that can’t happen. They done well to get the winner but in all honesty could have been 20-1 if we made the correct decision in front of goal."

Coaches Report | Richard Duguid 🗞️

Today we moved to Greenfield to play our home game. Credit to Greenfield, as the parks were outstanding, especially after the heavy rain.

The players started a bit slow but soon gathered pace, playing great passing football and movement, working through the thirds. Creating chance after chance, but if it wasn't for their G.K., we could have scored a few more in the first half.

Second half, we made five subs, only to start where we left off. Playing most of the game in the opposing half, we worked the angles well.

Credit to Summerston, who kept going right to the end of the game.

A special mention to the birthday boy Jack, who bagged a first-half hat-trick to celebrate! 🎂⚽️
