🔴 Pre Season 🟡

A midweek fixture at home as we play another pre season friendly after a long couple of weeks without a game due to the weather. ⚽️

Another good display from the boys today. Starting to step it up another level as we approach the start of the season. Using all the things we work on in pre season training/ friendlies and applying them in these matches. Allowing us to identify and continue to work on various different things to make sure we are entering the season to the best of our ability. 📈

We played some nice football throughout the game but lacked some decisiveness and confidence to enable us to relive the pressure and start to play with comfort. But that’s why we play pre season it highlights bits for us to iron out. But we take the performance and build on this. 💪🏼

Herbie opened the scoring in the second half with a nice composed finish in front of goal to put us ahead within 10 mins of the start of the second half. ✨

While we haven’t posted in over a month we have been keeping busy both during training and also playing some friendlys against some of our other Thamesview teams. 📈

We go again back in training and count down the days to the start of the season 🤩

🚨 Pre Season update 🚨

Today we played our second game of pre season. We walk away with a lot to take and learn from and also our first loss against a very good side 👏🏼

We took far too long to get going in the first half to slow, too sloppy and very un organised therefore heading into half time 0-3 down but the boys learnt a lot from that first half performance. Second half we started in the exact way we know we can we was moving the ball a lot better, we was working a lot harder and we started to play our game. Unfortunately towards the end of the game we get caught and the games put to bed to finish 0-4 but a much more positive second half ! 👊🏼

But this is the beauty of pre season new tactics tried, players experiencing different positions for us and some more valuable minutes in the tank. We take today’s loss and we move to next week where we want to get back on track and put today behind us. We continue the work in training now and use the lessons from today as stepping stones before the start of the season 📍

🚨 Pre season underway 🚨

Today we travelled to play Higham Eagles U16s in our first pre season game of the 26/27 season. What a way to get the ball rolling with a dominate 3-0 win. 💪🏼

Quality littered throughout the game, lovely patterns of play on show, battling for every ball, threats from all angles of the pitch, everyone playing for each other and rounded off with a dominant defensive display and most importantly a clean sheet🧼

2 goals to open the bank for our 9 Herbie one showing composure in front of goal with a lovely touch to take it around the keeper and slotting it home to put us up in the first half. Then a lovely strike to slot it home getting the rewards for his work rate upfront all game and making it 2-0 in the second half 👏🏼

1 goal from our 10 Ethan with a lovely free kick from the edge of the box, hit with lovely technique to nestle in the back of the next to make it 3-0. ❄️

Massive shout out to Jim and Ashley Sayer Stacey Stanley Carly Sayer. Getting down to the pitch early and mowing the lawn pre kick off to allow the lads to be able to play today. 🪏

Stepping stone as we progress further into our preseason and maintain the standard set today 🤙🏽

🚨Pre Season🚨

As we enter the month of July we step up our efforts as we prepare for the new season ‼️

This Sunday we travel to play Higham Eagles for our first friendly of the pre season. To put our sessions into practice, sharpen our tactics and hopefully start on a high.
