Scottish Women's Football

Colette D'Ambrosio, our vice-captain, may have played her last game for Fort William. 😢She damaged some ligaments in our game on Sunday which will keep her out for the rest of the season. She is then off on an adventure to New Zealand for a few months and may not return to the local area. Colette will be a big loss to the squad not just for her football skills but as a leader on the pitch and her excellent banter and mischief ! We all wish Colette well on her travels and hope that she may come back some day.
Better news on captain Jo Gillanders who could potentially return to action next weekend 👍 Wishing you a speedy recover Jo !

Full Time: Fort William Women’s FC 1–8 Caithness Ladies Football Club. The league champions showed their quality at Lochaber High School Astro this afternoon, with a slick, well-organised performance and goals in both halves. Fort kept battling right to the end and got their reward in the 85th minute when Holli Salmond grabbed a deserved consolation goal. Despite the scoreline, Fort showed real teamwork and team spirit, kept encouraging each other, and stayed positive right through to the final whistle. It was a good-natured game played in a sporting manner by both sides. Next up we have Sutherland visiting Claggan Park on Sunday 16 August. .
