Forres Bluefins Amateur Swimming Club

Today we held our club sponsored swim.
A great effort was seen across all squads, covering distances never reached before, a fantastic accomplishment all round.

Thank you to all the volunteers, counters, motivational parents, and Fiona and Dale for working hard to make the day a success.

A big thank you to Ashers Bakery who supplied the Dolphin biscuits as the swimmers post swim treat 🐬

💙 Last week saw the last coaching session as Karen, one of our wonderful and hugely valued coaches, has decided to hang up her coaching cap!

Coaching for 20 years with Forres Bluefins, Karen had dedicated countless hours to support, encourage and inspire young swimmers and we are incredibly grateful for everything she has done for the club.

She will be a huge loss to the coaching team but thank you from us all, you will always be welcome poolside! 😊💙

From 28th April to the end of July, you can help support Forres Bluefins by using your Tesco blue tokens when you shop. The project with the most tokens will receive £1,500, second receives £1,000 and third £500, so every little helps!

Our social night to celebrate 50 years of Forres Bluefins is fast approaching and it’s incredible to think of how many lives Bluefins has touched over those 50 years. We are loving looking through all of the amazing photos and memories coming in from past swimmers and coaches. It’s incredible to hear about the positive impact that Forres Bluefins has had on so many people over the years and how swimming still plays such an important role in their lives today. If you have any old photos, press cuttings or stories to share of your time with Bluefins whether it be as a swimmer, coach or committee member, please do share as we’d love to hear from you!

Tickets are almost sold out for our social night to celebrate this huge milestone so if you would like to join us, please be quick to book your ticket! 😊

HE DID IT! 50 MILES DONE! 🏃💪🏃What a day, what an afternoon and what a moment at the finish! Seeing Team Bluefins and Team Harriers all come together to support Dale throughout was amazing and the turn out at Roysvale was something quite special! So nice to see so many from the club there supporting and encouraging him every last step of the way. Incredible effort Dale, we are in awe of you!💪🙌💪

We are extremely proud of our Bluefins swimmers that took part in the Nairn IM Meet in Inverness last Sunday. There were lots of fantastic swims, all round PB's and of course lots of fun!
