A great karate club isn’t just somewhere you learn techniques. It’s somewhere you make friends, encourage each other, build confidence and feel part of a community.

At Chikara Karate Kai Sussex, we’re building a friendly, family-focused club where everyone is welcome — whether you’re 6 or 60, completely new to martial arts or returning after years away.

There’s no pressure to already be fit or know what you’re doing. Beginners are very welcome, and we’ll help you learn at your own pace.

A very very good session today, purely working on reactive explosions for block and counter, then a little bunkai with kihon kata. Well done everyone, you have a very proud sensei 🙇‍♂️👊

I’ve met and trained with some of the greatest Karate Ka in the world, but most importantly, I have a karate family for life. 🥋
