🐷🏆 COACHES’ THREE LITTLE PIGS MAN OF THE MATCH 🏆🐷

A massive well done to Cruz Dooley on being named the Coaches’ Three Little Pigs Man of the Match! 👏🔥

Despite the scoreline not going our way, Cruz can be really proud of his performance between the sticks. 🧤💙 He made some excellent saves throughout the game, keeping us in it on a number of occasions and showing great composure when under pressure.

What stood out most was Cruz’s attitude. He didn’t let the scoreline get to him, continued to communicate with the boys in front of him and kept working right until the final whistle. That shows the character and mentality we want to see from our players. 💪

He was also very close to picking up the Players’ Man of the Match award, which shows just how highly his performance was thought of by his teammates. 👏

Some really positive moments from Cruz and plenty for him to build on. Keep working hard, keep making those saves and keep believing in yourself, Cruz! 🧤🔥

A massive congratulations to Shereef on picking up back-to-back Three Little Pigs Man of the Match awards! 👏🔥

Shereef has absolutely made the role his own. 💪 From his performances on the pitch to the effort and commitment he continues to show, he’s becoming a huge part of this team.

And when he’s on the ball, it’s like it just sticks to his foot! His close control, composure and ability to glide past players make him a real joy to watch. ⚽️✨

What makes it even more special is seeing how highly he is thought of by his teammates, with the boys choosing him as their Man of the Match for two games in a row. 👏💙

Keep doing what you’re doing, Shereef — working hard, leading by example and giving everything for the badge! ⚽️💙

Coatbridge 6-3 Westfield Colts

A frantic start saw us take the lead after just 30 seconds, with Kyle finding the back of the net with a fantastic strike from just outside the box. ⚽️

The boys continued to create chance after chance, with efforts narrowly missing the target, shots flashing past the post and the Coatbridge keeper being called into action on several occasions.

After around 25 minutes, we won a free kick on the edge of the box, and Nathan stepped up and made absolutely no mistake, firing it into the top corner to make it 2-1. 🚀

Just after half-time, Coatbridge pulled one back to make it 2-2, and from there the game became a real battle. The boys continued to push forward and create opportunities, but we just couldn’t find that crucial finish.

Blake came incredibly close from around 30 yards, smashing a free kick against the woodwork, while we also hit the post another couple of times. It really just wasn’t going our way in front of goal.

As the game went on, the boys’ heads dropped slightly as we struggled to find the goal we needed, and Coatbridge managed to extend their lead to 5-2. There was also a frustrating moment where a Coatbridge player appeared to use his hand to control the ball into his path before going on to score.

The boys never gave up, though, and we eventually pulled another goal back after some excellent work down the left. The ball was squared across to Ali, who calmly finished with the outside of his right foot. ⚽️

Unfortunately, we couldn’t find the goals needed to get ourselves back into the game, eventually going down 6-3.

The scoreline doesn’t tell the full story. The boys played some really good football, created plenty of chances and showed plenty of fight. On another day, some of those efforts off the post and just wide go in and the result could have been very different.

There’s lots more to come from this amazing group of players. Don’t count us out — we will come back bigger, better and stronger. 💙❤️

Keep believing, keep working and keep pushing. This group has so much more to give. 💪⚽️

Congratulations to Shereef Adeagbo, who has been named our Three Little Pigs Man of the Match! 👏⚽️

A really solid performance from Shereef at right back, showing exactly what we expect from him in both sides of the game.

From the first whistle, Shereef worked tirelessly up and down the right-hand side, constantly providing an option for our wingers and helping us move forward. His energy and willingness to get forward and support the attack were excellent, while he also made sure he was getting back into position and doing his defensive duties.

Defensively, Shereef was outstanding. He supported his centre backs really well and was strong and committed in every challenge.

💪 His tackling was outstanding throughout, with strong, perfectly timed challenges and a real determination to win the ball back. His ability to stay composed under pressure and read the game well was a huge part of his performance.

His excellent footwork also allowed him to deal with difficult situations, keep possession and make it difficult for opposition players to get past him. ⚡️

A complete performance from Shereef, showing energy, determination, confidence, composure and commitment from start to finish. 👏🔵
