π§ Sound Story Journal | Episode 1
Layered Crystal Bowl Immersion
What happens when sound is layered with intention?
A small glimpse into yesterday's Sound Story & Deep Listening session.
Each crystal singing bowl carries its own voice, but together they create something entirely different. A woven landscape of vibration that invites the body to soften, the breath to slow, and the mind to listen beyond its usual noise.
This is one moment from an ongoing research project exploring how immersive sound influences our experience of presence, deep rest, and inner awareness.
Thank you to everyone who continues to be part of this journey. More moments, reflections, and discoveries to come.

A heartfelt thank you to every beautiful person who continues to show up for my sound study and take part in this evolving work.
Your presence, openness and feedback are helping this research grow into something meaningful, creative and deeply human.
What a truly remarkable project to witness unfolding, one session, one sound and one shared experience at a time.

Upskilling my crystal singing bowl practice and learning to create more layered, bespoke sound journeys. β¨
My 1:1 training at Rezenance has been one of the best things I have done for myself and for the growth of my work.
It is never just playing the bowls. It is precision, attunement, grounding, deep listening and learning how to shape sound with care. π
I am now exploring more complex layering, serenity and flow, using my beautiful collection of instruments to create immersive experiences where participants can feel safely held, deeply rested and transformed through sound. π€
New voices have arrived.πΆ
Fesh from Thomann, these Himalayan singing bowls are ready to find their place in my growing soundscape. Every bowl carries its own resonance, inviting deeper listening, softer breathing, and immersive moments of stillness.
Finding my voice againβ¦ quite literally. β¨
Part of my sound professional journey has been reclaiming my voice, my confidence, and my trust in the power of toning.
A heartfelt thank you to Harie for such an amazing training day at Rezenance in Sidmouth, and for the encouragement to believe that I can create beautiful, resonant sound. That belief means so much.
I feel really pleased with what I am learning, and how it is gradually growing and evolving into something bespoke, authentic, and truly my own.
A gentle reminder to myself, and maybe to you too:
this is not a race.
Taking time to grow slowly, to honour personal life, and to make space for rest, balance, and your own energy first makes all the difference. πΏ
This journey is unfolding in its own time, and Iβm grateful for every step of it.
A glimpse into my Sound, Story & Deep Listening research. π§οΈπΆ
This week I explored the sounds of the rain column, kenari seeds, Zaphir chimes, Native American flute, and the grounding resonance of the thunder tube.
Working with the water element and the theme of release was a beautiful experience.
This session invited participants to arrive through sound and guided awareness. Using more of my voice throughout the journey, I encouraged them to settle into the present moment and simply notice what was unfolding.
Watching tension soften and leave the body was a privilege.
Some participants described feeling incredibly light, almost as if they were floating. Others experienced shades of blue and white behind closed eyes. Many were captivated by the deep vibration of the thunder tube, while the Native American flute gently drew attention back to the present, helping quieten the activity of the mind and soften habitual holding patterns in the body.
Every session teaches me something new, and I feel incredibly grateful to be developing this Sound, Story & Deep Listening research and development project, supported by Arts Council England.
Here's a little preview from a recent session.
Thank you for following this journey with me. There is much more to come, and if you're curious about taking part in future research, I am always looking for volunteers. π
With care,
Magda

Hello, I'm Magda from Tension Release Yoga & Sound. πΏ
My work brings together the timeless principles of Traditional Hatha Yoga and the immersive world of Sound Therapy. Through crystal singing bowls, therapeutic instruments, breath, silence, and the gentle guidance of my voice, I invite you into a space where sound is not only heard, but deeply experienced and felt.
Alongside my teaching, I am currently developing a research and development project supported by Arts Council England, exploring how sound can influence our awareness, nervous system, and capacity for deep listening.
I'd love to share this evolving, research-informed sound experience with you. Every session is created with care, flowing from the heart and filling the room with sound that invites you to slow down, soften, and reconnect with yourself.
