🏉 KIDS RUGBY IS BACK AT PORTY! 💙💛

It’s brilliant to have our kids back on the pitch and rugby underway again at Portobello! 🙌

And for this block, we’ve got some special guest coaches from PYRA Rugby joining us.

12 of the boys are coming back to Porty to volunteer and help coach our younger players as part of their Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Award. It’s fantastic to see them giving something back and helping the next generation of Porty players enjoy their rugby. 👏🏉

Porty secure the comeback win down in North Berwick to round off pre-season!

Lots of good rugby on display for both teams in a high scoring game. North Berwick led for most of the game but our boys nosed back in front in the last 10 minutes and held at the end.

And we mean literally held on, the final play was North Berwick being held up over the try line!

We look forward to welcoming NB to cavalry park on October for some league action!

Pre-Season culminates this Saturday as the Porty 1XV travel down the east coast to take on North Berwick!

A mixture of old names and new in the pack as Conor Dempsey returns & Doug Cowie plays his first game for the club.

In the backs, Keith Jeffrey is the experienced hand on the tiller, whilst Benny Dunn has a first run out for Porty.

Next weekend we have a home game against Livingston to start the league season!

We’re inviting new P1–P7 boys and girls to our Try Out Sunday — a fun, relaxed chance to try rugby, make new friends and see what Portobello Rugby is all about.

No experience or rugby kit needed — just wear something comfortable for running around and bring trainers or football boots.
