We’re now at the business end of the season, and yesterday saw our penultimate match away at Kingsknowe.

In another incredibly close contest, unfortunately went down 4-2. Five of the six matches went to the 17th or beyond, with both halved matches agonisingly close to being wins. Fine margins once again! 👏

Kingsknowe, last year’s league winners, maintained their 100% home record, but huge credit to everyone who represented the club today. Hard lines, but a great effort. ⛳️

The result elsewhere means Merchants leapfrog us to the top of the league by a single point, with both teams now having identical scoring differentials. The title is therefore no longer in our own hands.

But we’re certainly not giving up! We’ll give it everything in our final match against Swanston and hope Ravelston can do us a favour against Merchants. 🤞

A huge congratulations to our Senior Team on a superb 5-1 victory over Dalmahoy in a top-of-the-table clash at Turnhouse! 👏

An outstanding team performance sees Turnhouse remain top of the league with just two matches to play. The title race is still alive, but the team have put themselves in a fantastic position.

Good luck to the squad as they head to Kingsknowe next week – let's keep the momentum going! 💪⛳

A fantastic result for the Seniors Team as they secured an outstanding 5½–½ victory over Merchants in a top-of-the-table clash.

The performance was made even more impressive by the fact that they were giving away 71 shots! A huge congratulations to everyone who represented the club.

The win sees Turnhouse move to the top of the league, with plenty still to play for as the title race remains incredibly close. Next up is another huge fixture against Dalmahoy in two weeks' time.

Morison Millar Competition

Well done to the two Turnhouse teams who played in this years Morison Millar tournament at Glencorse Golf Club on 4th July. The conditions were difficult to say the least with very strong winds, but at least it stayed dry! Over 30 teams took part and Turnhouse A came 4th which was a brilliant achievement – well done ladies!

Four Turnhouse Members Qualify for Lothians Amateur Match Play

Congratulations to Turnhouse members Steven Armstrong, Keith Watt, Georgie Jackson, and Scott Macpherson on qualifying for the match play stages.

After excellent performances in the qualifying rounds, all four have earned their place in the knockout stages of the championship. We wish them the very best of luck as they continue their campaigns.

The Round of 16 matches take place on Tuesday 21 July, with our members teeing off at the following times:

16:50 – Scott Macpherson vs Craig Davidson
17:00 – Steven Armstrong vs Barrie Lewis
17:40 – Keith Watt vs Malcolm Pennycott
18:00 – Georgie Jackson vs Lee Morgan

The TGC Seniors Team came away from Broomieknowe today with a superb 4–2 victory!

A huge congratulations and thank you to everyone who represented the club today. Your commitment, teamwork and determination delivered a fantastic result. 💙

The win moves the team into second place on 9 points, just one point behind league leaders Merchants, who we welcome to TGC in two weeks' time.

After a fantastic week of competition, the 7 Day Moo-Let Gents' 36-Hole Open came to a close this evening. Despite the rain, it was a brilliant finals night and a fitting end to another great event. Well done to everyone who took part!

Another hard-fought Seniors league match last Thursday in glorious sunshine—perhaps a little too glorious at times! ☀️

The points were shared with a 3–3 draw after a closely contested match that could easily have gone either way. It was a game decided by the finest of margins, with two of the games narrowly losing on the final green.

While disappointed not to take all the points at home, credit goes to our opponents who played extremely well.A huge thank you to everyone in the team for their effort, determination, and fighting spirit throughout the afternoon.

The latest league table shows just how competitive the division is, with very little separating the teams. There's still a long way to go, and everything is still to play for as we head into the next round of fixtures.
