Molesey Clothing Exchange

It was an absolute pleasure to see so many of you at our July swap, we certainly had a blast and we hope you did too!

As you will have seen it was our seventh birthday and as a birthday treat we celebrated with free entry.

Over the past seven years you have helped us raise an amazing amount of money for a huge range of charities especially within our own community and we couldn’t be more proud. However, we feel this part of our journey is finished and we would like to help our local community in a different way, so moving forward our swap will remain free to everybody. We recognise Molesey Clothing Exchange as a community hub and a space for rest and relaxation, with sustainability always at the heart of what we do!

But dine sorry, we won’t completely stop supporting the things that are close to our heart, we will continue to run two additional fundraising swaps a year.

Our annual Festive Frocks will take place at Christmas, supporting The Molesey Night Shelter, and aiming to offer a sustainable alternative for Christmas jumpers and party dresses alongside an opportunity to find some ethical gifts to share with loved ones.

The Sun and Sequins summer swap will raise money for The Molesey Carnival, we have been incredibly proud to support the St. John’s ambulance to attend the last two carnivals and would like to continue this each June.

✨ We’re back! Kids’ Clothes Swap – Saturday 14th March ✨

After a hugely successful first event, our much-loved Kids’ Clothes Swap is returning to Refresh - church in the community East Molesey and we would love you to join us.

Come along for a relaxed and friendly morning of swapping, sipping tea, meeting local families and giving something back to the community. It’s a lovely way to refresh your child’s wardrobe the eco-friendly way — and it’s completely free.

⏰ 10am – 2pm
📍 Refresh – East Molesey
129 Walton Road, East Molesey, Surrey, KT8 0DT

How it works:
• Bring one bag of clean baby and children’s clothes and shoes (ages 0–10 years)
• Place your items on the correct age table
• Browse and take what you need

Before you come:
Please sort your child’s clothes and ensure there are no dirty, stained or unwearable items.

☕ Free tea, coffee, juice and biscuits will be available.
🎨 Jules from The Molesey Nugget will be hosting a free activity station for the children, so little ones can stay entertained while you browse.

All leftover clothes will be donated to families in need, so nothing goes to waste.

We're doing things a little differently for our November exchange. In the past, we have managed to have an evening exchange focusing on preloved clothing and accessories perfect for the festive season but unfortunately we're all feeling a bit short on time this year so....we've decided to add a Festive Fashion rail at our upcoming November 1st exchange. Think sparkles, Christmas jumpers, accessories perfect for pre loved gifting and NYE glam! I know it's early but have a rummage and see what you can find to add to your bag! Our community of lovelies choosing to swap not shop is growing with each exchange...here's a challenge - bring someone new or share with someone new...let's give our planet and community some love this festive season. We will be supporting Elmbridge CAN for this exchange.
