Early rise for long journey in Moffat against upper Annandale in challenge cup this morning for the boys

Game starts off slow with chances for both teams, we take the lead after 15 minutes from a glorious curled strike into the top corner from max McLaren

Upper Annandale drew level on minute 36 with a defence splitting pass to slot it past the keeper

Sloppy at the start of the second half which led upper Annandale to take the lead after 50 with slack defending leaving a 1on1 into the bottom corner

Going behind left us with no choice to give everything we had left with a mounting pressure and fight with 5 minutes from the end, minute 65 we had a free kick 25 yards out curled into the box and met with a Logan McLean header jumping higher than the keeper to draw level

We didn’t have enough time left to chase the winner with game leading to penalties, East Kilbride winning the shootout 4-3 and grabbing the 2 points

Some positives to take but much to work on for next week, onto the next one

Much better performance from start to finish from boys tonight, fought right to the end and deserving winners move on to the next one

Goal from distance from Logan McLean after 3 minutes gave us the start to build on

Second goal from Logan McLean came after just 5 minutes again perfect strike from outside the box hitting the roof of the net

Thalias broshtilov grabbed the third goal after 10 minutes breaking behind the line and going round an out rushing goalkeeper and slide it into goal

Defended well right into the second half before a dubious penalty was given on minute 62, Danny miller saved the first strike but was unfortunate the ball spilled to taker who beat him second time round

Very dominant performance all round against a feisty Hamilton team, plenty of work still to do before season kicks off, lots of positives and good 3 points in challenge cup for the boys

A massive thank you to everyone who came along to our Player of the Year awards last night. The boys have done great this season and they deserved all their awards last night to recognise all their hard work this season. On to next season and we hope it’s as good if not better than last.
