What's on my mind today its CQC and their current inconsistencies in their inspection process. Organisations need a fair process, its their livelihood and Inspectors are continuing to be unjust. Please note I not against regulation I am just demanding a safe effective system by an organisation that is well led, effective and one that really cares. Its a lovely sunny morning in West Sussex and it was an absolute pleasure to meet a happy Guardian Angels Carer who was so obviously happy in her role. It brings it home to me the demands that are placed on all community care staff. No matter where you are everyone of you are 🌟 stars.

I remain concerned about the new Single Assessment Framework. I believe inconsistencies will remain and there will be a surge in rating reviews. I am not a negative person, nor am I opposed to regulation or inspections. However is the new process fit for purpose? Already there are delays regarding the Portal. Moreover do Inspectors understand the scoring process likewise providers. Implementation takes time and expense which I believe may potentially shift the focus from delivering personalised care. Some providers and RMs are already anxious, this in turn can result in errors. Its a worrying situation. So providers please let CQC know your views via their consultation process.
