Earlswood Town are delighted to benefit from a new £77,000 grant courtesy of Stratford-on-Avon District Council to renovate the club’s junior site in Tanworth-in-Arden.
The funding will help to modernise and upgrade the sports pavilion at Muntz Hall & Sports Field, as well as improving overall access.
The building hasn’t had significant investment since the 1930s but will now be revamped to include multi-use changing rooms, modern showers and toilets as well as a lounge area for serving refreshments.
The investment is part of Stratford District Council’s Community Grant Scheme and will benefit many recreational activities that serve the local community.
The Earls became joint tenants of Muntz Hall & Sports Field in February 2025 and this season it is home to the club’s U8, U9, U10 and U11 teams, as well as continuing to provide training access for the club’s ever-blossoming junior section.
The site is shared with Tanworth-in-Arden Tennis Club, 1st Tanworth-in-Arden Scout Group and Tanworth and Camp Hill CC; all of which are also to benefit from this grant.
Andy Walker, Earlswood Town chairman, said: “We are grateful to Stratford District Council for awarding this grant as it will allow us to truly maximise the community potential of Muntz Hall & Sports Field.
“In recent times, the site has become a real team effort with all interested parties working together to further improve what is a special location for recreational activity and we look forward to seeing these significant improvements take shape.”
The club would like to thank David King in particular for his efforts in helping to secure this vital funding.
